Making a move from a career in marketing to full-time radio was daring and initially an unnerving thought to entertain, but it took a hunch and deep rooted interest for Kafui Dey to know radio was his home.

The engaging host of the Morning Starr on Starr 103.5FM has now got Ghana listening to him every morning, from 5am to 10am as he moderates exciting and informative topics and subjects.

Markets, corporate offices and almost all vehicles in the city have developed a strong preference to listening to the lifestyle twist he gives to everyday topics on politics, health, education, human rights, entertainment, religion and even relationship issues.

Despite being on the air waves for just seven months, Kafui Dey has now become notorious for luring listeners away from their regular morning radio shows and hosts, to listening to his captivating segments when he starts his five-hour radio sojourn each week day.

One of the questions that always boggles non-religious people is how God, with all the attributes given to him concerning his omnipotence and omniscience- can have so much imperfections in his creation.

Actor and renowned atheist Stephen Fry put it so eloquently in a recent television interview. “Bone cancer in children? How dare you?” He said he’d ask if he ever came face to face with God.

Bishop Kevin Doran had some answers for Fry, though he was talking about a totally different issue. An upcoming referendum is set to ask Irish voters to decide on legalising same-sex marriage, and the Bishop is calling on the populace to reject the bill, according to RawStory.

According to him, since homosexual couples could not procreate, a union of two of them cannot be a marriage. Then the bombshell, the host asked that since some people were born gay, isn’t that what God intended?

University Student Falls to Death Whilst Possessed By ‘Holy Spirit’ During Prayer Session Held On School Roof

It sounds incredulous when you think about it but this is where we’ve gotten to; where students would not only hold service on a rooftop but one gets possessed by the ‘holy spirit’ leading to her plunging off the top to her death.

The student has been identified as Benedicta Aidoo, a first year student of the All Nations University College in the Eastern Region, according to myjoyonline.

A member of the campus Prayer and Evangelism group, they were holding a prayer session on the roof of the building when the ‘holy spirit’ was said to have descended on her. She therefore started jumping around, as people are wont to do when that particular divine affliction strikes them; oblivious to the fact she was on a rooftop.

Other students say despite several attempts to stop her, she kept jumping around till she fell off the roof, onto an old tractor parked near the building.

Information reaching GhanaCelebrities.Com has it that, Amanda Acquah may be throwing a big party soon as Ghanaian millionaire-Kenpong (Kennedy Agyepong) and his toy girlfriend-Mona have broken up in an unhealthy manner…

“Mona and Kenpong have broken up and Kenpong has kicked her and her stuff out from an apartment he rented for her. It even turned into some sort of fight with Kenpong dropping bunch of insults on Mona’s parents” our source said.

Namibia President Pohamba Gets $5m Mo Ibrahim Award

Namibia’s outgoing President-Hifikepunye Pohamba has won the world’s most valuable individual award, the Mo Ibrahim prize for African leadership—and he will receive $5 million for this.

The Mo Ibrahim prized was launched in 2007 by British-Sudanese mobile communications entrepreneur and philanthropist-Mo Ibrahim, who made billions from investing in Africa to encourage African leaders to leave power peacefully.

The cash award is given each year to an elected leader who governed well, raised living standards and then left office in peace but for about 4 years, the award went unclaimed as a suitable African leader could not be found.

For many years, Albinos have been hunted down in different parts of Africa like animals—and often murdered with their ‘special’ parts being cut off for black magic rituals.

Believing in black magic is the fountainhead of many African superstitions—and even if you see such beliefs as non-harmful, the fact that someone must be killed for some rituals to be done for the magic to work shows we should start cutting through all superstitious hogwash.

“Four people have been charged with murdering an albino woman in Tanzania and cutting off her legs and an arm for black magic rituals. Zawadi Magindu was killed at Nyamalulu village in the north western Geita region of the African country in November 2008. The four people accused of killing the 22-year-old have pleaded not guilty with a hearing set to continue next week,” reports MailOnline.

It looks like Ghanaians are indeed tired of how the incumbent government is steering the affairs of the country. Over the last few years, several Ghanaians have been on the many social media platforms complaining about the harsh conditions they are going through in the country.

The government has been adamant to the many social media complaints and as such, Ghanaians took to the streets today (February 18, 2014) to demonstrate against the government.

The demonstration, dubbed the ‘Wↄn Gbo’ (translated as WE’RE DYING) Demonstration, was originally organised by the opposition New Patriotic Party.

According to the few people that GhanaCelebrities.Com spoke to, they joined the demonstration not because of their political affiliation with the party but because of the hardship they are encountering in the country.

“This is too much. The president should be sued for deceiving Ghanaians. Mahama is the worst president Ghana has had. I get only 8 hours of light for a whole week. Why? All businesses are collapsing. We can’t stand this anymore. I voted for NDC in the last election but I’m not willing to vote for that party again”, one of the demonstrators told GhanaCelebrities.Com.

KKD to See Clinical Psychologist + Case Adjourned Again…

Kwesi Kyei Darkwah (KKD) was due in Court today and once again, he did not appear but his lawyers did—on the grounds that, KKD is still not well.

As a result, the Court once again have adjourned the KKD rape case to February 18, 2015 and according to KKD’s lawyer, their client is booked to see a Clinical Psychologist next week Tuesday following a medical review of his condition.

The reason why KKD is due to a Clinical Psychologist was not mentioned but surely, this seems a little out of place…
