After a brief meeting on the redcarpet at Cannes Film Festival’s premiere of Blood Ties, Fred Nuamah (Founder of Ghana Movie Awards) managed to pull another meeting with top English actor-Clive Owen (several Academy Award nominee, Golden Globe and Bafta winner), and this time it was all about Captain Planet…
Though I cannot disclose the conversation that took place during the meeting, I can tell you something fruitful will soon come out it.
This is another reason why the Cannes Film Festival is the best—it offers you real networking opportunities and you get to met and hold meetings with people you never thought of meeting.

After the movie, we decided to grab some food before heading to our hotel-Night life at Cannes is splendid! No wonder prostitutes out here makes as much as £40,000 a night…
Last night (for the second time), Captain Planet from the musical group-4×4, Fred Nuamah and ‘myself’ joined Hollywood actress-Zoe Saldana, Takao Osawa, Nanako Matsushima, Tatsuya Fujiwara, Rasaroi Dawson, Clive Owen, Marion Cotillard and other celebrities for the red carpet premiere of the movies- Blood Ties and Shield of Straw…
Shield of Straw is set in a small Japanese town where a 7-year-old girl is found dead after being raped; DNA evidence fingers a suspect for a previous, similar crime still at large: Kiyomaru (Tatsuya Fujiwara).
His name and photo are released to the media and a manhunt begins. But then this little girl’s wealthy grandfather Ninagawa (Tsutomo Yamazaki) offers a billion-yen reward for killing the man.
Terrified, the culprit actually hands himself over to the police who must protect someone who sickens them, and transport him to Tokyo for trial through a country now swarming with hostile vigilantes: cops, gangsters, and ordinary people with kitchen knives. Everyone is crazy for the cash offer, and this grandfather is actually paying out smaller sums to people who’ve just attempted to kill Kiyomaru.

For whatever reason, my attention has been brought to the fact that some readers are saying the photos are photoshopped! Not sure what they mean by that….
I have decided to upload the rest of the photos (ALL) and hope this will settle any doubt.

If your partner is grumbling, distant and uncommunicative, it’s not necessarily your cue to jump up and start catering to his needs. Fluffing his pillow or spending hours in the kitchen fixing his/her favourite meal, this might not cure his woes. It will only exhaust you. Yes!!! He/she is everything to you.
If you continue doing this, your partner will likely see you as a working partner instead of a love partner. People who are too much in love often feel overly responsible for their partner’s wounds and moods, thinking that they in some way caused them. In their eyes, they must have done something wrong to cause them to slip into silence. This therefore burdens them to bring this partner back into a good mood.
Looking Up to Your Partner and Looking Down on Yourself
Many people in love put their partners first especially women because of a collective legacy of feminine degradation. After all, the sun shines brightest and the moon only glows because of the sun. This conditioned belief is difficult to shake even for the most liberated and accomplished woman, this is a reality which only few women have been able to shake it to off.
If you are the type who put your partner on a high mountain, thinking he/she is more intelligent, capable and ultimately more important, all that admiration will make you look pathetic. Your adoration will likely only fuel an already too big ego and does little to elevate your self-worth.
Abandoning Your Friends and families to Spend Every Waking Minute with Him/Her,
The worst thing a person can do is to deny themselves time with their friends and family, thinking their partner will miss them, can’t fend for themselves or that their partner will meet with disapproval if they spend time away from them.
If you are the type to only contact friends and family only when your mate isn’t home or hang up the phone abruptly when they come through the door, you are killing your self esteem. A person’s friendships outside of her relationship feed and reward her. And in times when things aren’t running smoothly in the relationship, good friends and family offer support and advice.
Your Goals Don’t Matter As Much as His/Hers
Abandoning your goals whether a career choice, an educational opportunity or a spiritual journey because you believe your partner’s goals will serve you more in the end, will derail your hopes for personal fulfilment. Killing your goals to encourage your partner’s goals is because you believe he/she deserves success more than you or because deep inside you don’t believe in yourself. If you put your personal goals on the backburner too long, your dreams will simmer away.

I have not had many email alerts in my life like I’ve received in the last 2 weeks.
I think my decision to take the copyright off my first eBook-‘Success Is A Right, Not A Privilege‘ and make it available for FREE online download is the best thing I have done this year.
Just within 2 weeks of taking the above decision, the book has been downloaded 2768 times (as at 9am on 19th May, 2013). That is nearly 3000 people whose lives will be positively affected by the book in just 2 weeks of making it free—depending if they all read it.
As I explained in my previous post, my decision to ‘uncopyright’ the book comes from my genuine desire to help as much people as possible with the book—-especially those seeking for a second chance to make something great out of their lives.
Also, I decided to ‘uncopyright’ the book after receiving several E-mails from people who explained to me that, even though they need copies of my book, the non-availability of credit card/paypal payment systems at where they are have made it impossible to purchase copies.
With these people in mind and also to truly help all those who are seeking for a life full of happiness, satisfaction, success and motivation, the book isn’t copyrighted anymore and it is free for download for anyone who will be lucky enough to meet it in life…

Confidence Haugen got much of a deserving attention at the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards which was held on Saturday when she changed from her white dress to this revealing red one…
Confidence who POORLY hosted the red-carpet with Benny Blanco wore a red dress with a big side and back cut exposing her hips, tattoo and ‘done’ boobs.
What do you think? Good genes or Good doctor? She is growing slowly—can easily pick that from her face!
I am sure by now you are aware I am currently at Cannes (courtesy of Ghana Movie Awards) to experience the 66th Cannes Film Festival and report on interested issues-first hand report.
Can I make that big boastful claim as the first African blogger (that is too huge so let me narrow it down to Ghana) to have walked on the all-important Cannes red carpet? Sort of though! I think that is some good bragging right there for me.
During the grand opening of this year’s festival on 15th May, 2013, stars such as Nicole Kidman, Cindy Crawford, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jury President Steven Spielberg, director-Andy Lee and others took glamorous steps on the red carpet.
Sunday evening, I got the opportunity to join the stars of the Dutch movie-Borgman which was being premiered to walk the all-important Cannes red-carpet with Fred Nuamah. Borgman is the first Dutch film in 38 years to play in competition at Cannes.
And I hope I nailed the red-carpet appearance with that skinny black suit and bow-tie.
So far, I love it out here—the partying has be great! I have met a Chinese blogger and he is incredibly cool…
Check out Borgman’s trailer below

Captain Planet of the musical group-4×4 just checked in at Cannes where the party has been crazy since I got here yesterday…

Actress Lydia Forson who kick started her career as a hot cake by starring in Shirley Frimpong Manso’s Perfect Picture, A Sting In A Tale, Scorned and thereafter some few other movies has not been seen much on our screens recently.
Rumour has it that, she sort of fell out with Shirley Frimpong Manso and her Sparrow Production over God knows what. And this means, she has no business relationship with the production house which was constantly featuring her…
This seems to have given her career an unwillingly hiatus, even though she has since then obtained work from here and there…
Speaking to Graphic Showbiz recently, Lydia reacted to comments that her alleged arrogance has been the cause of her inability to get roles in Ghanaian movies by saying…
“I know most people are making these comments because I no longer play in Shirley Frimpong Manso’s movies but I can’t be tied to only one filmmaker. I need to explore other opportunities and that is exactly what I have been doing”.
She said her careful selection of movie roles have accounted for the limited number of movies she has featured in since she started acting about five years ago.
Known for movies such as “Perfect Picture”, “a Sting in a tale” “Phone Swap”, “Figurine” “Scorned” and “Masquerades” the product of St. Louis Senior High School in Kumasi says that it is not the quantity of movies you star in that make you a good actress but the quality and how one uses the publicity gained to build a strong brand in the industry.
“Halle Berry is one actress who will not feature in a movie for more than four years but her brand as an actress never fades because of what she has achieved for herself. As an actress, I don’t believe that I have to limit my career to just acting but I should build a brand around me that will benefit me in future and that is what my management has been working on for some time now”.
