READERS’ MAIL: Open Letter to Striking Ghanaian Doctors…I Witnessed A Young Man Die From Asthma this Morning | Why Should the Innocent Ghanaian Suffer?

Doctor in Ghana
Doctor in Ghana

Dear Ghanaian Doctors,

I understand the root cause of the indefinite strike is the long-over due salary increases and the inability of government to resolve concerns over service conditions. I comprehend your lament because the requirement in your profession is very consuming but most often we overlook the trust, faith and work output in your services.

It is quite difficult to separate fact from exaggeration during doctors’ strikes due to media hype and the politics played around it. But the fundamental question remains: Should the innocent Ghanaian suffer??

Just this morning, I witnessed a young man die from asthma because there were no doctors present at the time needed. A huge depth of grief filled my heart as the situation could have been avoided but this innocent man is long gone due to our selfish, maligned interest.

Forgive me but I am lost for words in terms of lexicon to surpass the situation and experience I had this morning. How many lives are still being played this moment due to our differential interest?

READERS’ MAIL: At Long Last Father of Mzbel’s Son Found | It’s Castro De Destroyer

Castro De Destroyer
Castro De Destroyer

Dear Chris,

I am very interested in flashing out the father of Mzbel’s son, Aaron so that at least, as you mentioned, the child will be able to comfortably wish him ‘Happy Father’s Day’ when he is of age. Mzbel cannot deny the child this right because of her mess.

Considering what is at stake, I think this should become a national exercise and every Ghanaian must start searching their backyards to see if that man will be found there. We can even ask for a DNA test from all the men in Ghana.

But these Ghanaian celebrities have external clients in Nigeria and other places so I don’t think the above will really help a lot.

I was going to suggest that finding the father of a child is damn easy. Just check the child’s surname and bingo; the father is there.  Here, this is of no use, the surname is no surname.

READERS’ MAIL: Sarkodie & His Team Have Proven to Be LIARS Who Throw Out Unnecessary Hype | From the False Akon Konvict Signing to Ace Hood Scandal

Sarkodie and Ace Hood
Sarkodie and Ace Hood

Dear Chris-Vincent,

When it comes to credibility in dealings, Sarkodie and his team have none left in the minds of Ghanaians and this is as a result of their constant search for some undeserving hype by blowing things out of proportion while lacing these things with LIES.

Do you still remember the Sarkodie and Akon issue?

We were in Ghana here when scores of media outlets including Sarkodie and his management threw dust into our eyes—claiming the artiste had been signed to Akon’s Konvict muzik. In fact, it later turned out to be a big lie as Akon only endorsed Sarkodie—nothing more than that.

READERS’ MAIL: Evidence that Actor-John Dumelo is Truly A DoucheBag | See What He Has Said Again…

John Dumelo
John Dumelo

Dear Chris-Vincent,

Sorry to bother you so quick with another mail for publication. And as I stated in my previous published e-mail, I am heavily affected by the current power crisis in Ghana, my husband’s business which is where myself and my children get fed has almost collapsed—and that is why I am appalled by John Dumelo’s statement to this extent.

Just a few days about John Dumelo went on radio to say, Ghanaians should stop pressuring President Mahama over the current ‘dumsor dumsor’ which has affected production, our schools and healthcare sectors—this same DoucheBag took to twitter to write the below.

First, this guy says ‘Rome was not built in a day’ so the 3 years that the NDC party he campaigned for has been in power is not enough, they need more time to fix the power crisis which get worse each day.

He talked as though he had no brains and had the audacity to ask Ghanaians not to complain or put pressure on President Mahama, rather we should just be grateful and watch. And then a day after this insensitive message, he goes on twitter to ask for a place where he can buy solar panels for his house—a slap in the face of ordinary Ghanaians.

READERS’ MAIL: I Didn’t Know John Dumelo Was Such A DoucheBag

John Dumelo
John Dumelo

Dear Chris-Vincent,

First of all, let me commend and congratulate you on the success of your blog, GhanaCelebrities.Com. I have been an ardent reader for over 4 years so I can say to some extent I bear witness to your hard and the bluntness this blog lives for.

It’s against the above background that I have decided to write this mail for publication, hoping to point it out to your many readers how much of a douche bag Ghanaian actor-John Dumelo is, made clear by his recent comment on the current unbearable ‘dumsor dumsor’ in Ghana.

Let me ask, John Dumelo seems to present himself as a business man but can he point us to any of his so called businesses and tell us how the business is fairing on the back of ‘dumsor dumsor’?

No serious businessman will entertain ‘dumsor dumsor’ for even a minute yet this empty head comes on radio to say we should give the sitting government more time to fix the problem and that “Rome was not built in a day.”

Yes “Rome was not built in a day” but is 3 years out of 4 years tenure a day? If you cannot use 3 years to fix a problem, don’t make it worse for us and don’t come and be telling us nonsense.

My husband’s blocks’ factory business which used to be opened 7 days a week now runs on luck. And if we are lucky, we get to open it twice a week. We tried a generator which was not cost effective because it cost more to produce one block on generator than selling two of the same blocks when finished.

READERS’ MAIL: Mzbel Should Shut the F””k Up | Does She Know What She is Talking About?

Mzbel
Mzbel

Dear Vincent,

It’s a known fact that atheists are some of the most intelligent people in the world but we should not confuse intelligence with wisdom. And Mzbel is not any, yet she continues to throw jabs at Jesus and Christianity ignorantly.

I am a Christian and I will always be a Christian but let’s face the fact, I love reading those anti-religion and God articles all over the web, especially what Chris-Vincent and a certain Godwin Nii Armah continue to publish on GhanaCelebrities.Com.

I do not agree with Chris-Vincent mostly when he attacks religion and God but surely, we cannot take it away from him that he is intelligent and well read in those areas. He knows what he is talking about and this is what Mzbel lacks.

Everyday that Mzbel has anything to say, it’s the same old nonsense on Horus and Jesus Christ as if that is all she has come across.

READERS’ MAIL: Afia Schwarzenegger’s OBSESSION WITH DELAY | Why She Should Get A Life!

Afia Schwarzenegger
Afia Schwarzenegger

Obsession is when someone spends their time pre occupied or talking so much about you on daily basis. Valentina Nana Adjeiwah shot to fame thanks to the popular TV series ‘Afia Schwarzenegger’ about five years ago produced by Deloris Frimpong Manso popularly known as Delay.

Years after leaving the show, it is very evident that she has not been able to move on especially with regards to her feelings towards Delay. every second she gets, its either an accusation of some sort or attack on her former boss especially on social media but ‘How beautiful it is to stay silent when someone expects you to be enraged’ is how I describe the response from the matured TV host of the popular Delay Show on Viasat 1.

Valentina’s refusal to let go off the TV Character name ‘Afia Schwarzenegger’ even after quitting the show, to saying she will beat her former boss are a few of the many noise she keep making over and over again.

Personally, I think this one sided ‘beef’ is so tired and its time valentina gets a life and stop her obsession with Deloris Frimpong Manso (aaaah naadzen?).

When you provoke someone for long and they don’t respond, that makes the other person honorable in the eyes of many. Whiles Valentina spends time spewing trash about Delay at every opportunity she gets; she is silently building an empire and employing others in the process (can valentina say the same about herself?).

READERS MAIL: The Part You Played in Rape Cases in Ghana…Angry GC Reader Writes

Rape
Rape

Hello Chris,

I am just going to cut to the chase. I am mad and sad at every media outlet including you. As a matter of fact I expect more from you because you have exposure to journalism outside of Ghana. Why does the media in Ghana not protect rape victims in Ghana? Why do we post the picture, age, workplace etc of victims?

This is why rape is as high as it is in the world because besides the emotional and physical trauma they have to deal with becoming a “rape celebrity”. Women are punished and shamed for the rest of their lives by the rapist and by journalist.

I’ll cite the woman who was alleged to be raped by KKD. You posted her picture, name and age. Would it have hurt to conceal her identity? In this internet age nothing you post goes away. Imagine being her, 200 years from now when she heals each time she or an employer googlies her she has to be reminded she was raped. Its not okay!! and it needs to stop!!.. No traffic on your page is worth someone’s life being ruined. I live in the US and every time a woman is raped she is protected. Her identity is not splashed on blogs and newspapers.

READERS MAIL: The Church Next Door | Gas Cylinder Stickers For Sale & the Congregants Say the Stickers Really Work + My Ordeal…

Lord Have Mercy
Lord Have Mercy

Hello Chris-Vincent,

I travelled for about 7 hours to Ghana from London for a vacation which has turned into a big fight between my household and a church which has been planted next door. It’s only in Africa you would find a church operation in a residential neighbourhood without noise restrictions or any specified operating times.

For the two weeks that I have been back home, I’ve not been able to sleep in my room because it’s directly opposite the next house—which is being used as a church 7 days a week (each morning and evening). I have been spending the nights with a friend at his inconvenience when I have my own place—for fear of going deaf, more practically; because no one can sleep in that level of noise pollution from next door.

Before I continue with the narrative, let me add that I now perfectly understand why there are a lot of churches in Ghana. I have heard on more than four occasions the amount this next door ‘small’ church called ‘Arena of Miracles’-has made–and to be frank, It is enough to push any person into the church business. Last Sunday, they graciously announced having made over 200 million cedis (old Ghana cedis) and this is solely from their ‘collection’ and not the sticker sales.

With my room being next door, I hear everything whenever I am around and even if I do not want to hear what is going on in the next house turned into a church, their loud speakers supported by powerful amplifies make it impossible. I cannot understand why such a small church with all its members in one compound will need such loud speakers and amplifies—if it’s not to purposefully disturb those of us living nearby.

I have read and heard from different people about the increasing level of noise being made by churches in Ghana, especially at residential areas and until I became a victim, I wasn’t very much aware of how this can literally torture your whole existence.

Regularly, I hear the leader/prophet of this church specifically asking the congregants to make noise—he says it like, ‘mo ye dede’ and for the next 10 minutes, you will hear these people shout so loud as if they live in a vacuum, without giving a toss about those of us living next to them.  What kind of God are these people serving that seems to have no regard for others?

Why I Have Changed My MIND About KKD…It Seems There Was RAPE!

KKD
KKD

Dear Chris-Vincent,

First of all, I would like to apologise to anyone who I have offended with my KKD defence tactics since the alleged KKD rape case saga emerged and importantly to you; because I commented on several of your articles rubbishing a possibility that Kwesi Kyei Darkwah could have rapped the 19 year old.

At that time, I thought I was right and the position I held was based on available information. What I did wrong then was the fact that, I did not leave any room for scepticism and I mean, I did not allow myself to think that, such a fine gentleman could have done so to a young woman.

I think my utmost respect for the man and his achievements clouded my judgement to the extent that I couldn’t bring myself to consider any possibility that he could have done what was being alleged.

But in the last few days and having come across new information, I have changed my mind. I am not saying for sure he did what is being alleged since it’s not in my position to pronounce such judgement—but I have changed the certain nature of my position and today, I believe; he could have done it.

From the new information of the 19 year old girl being a virgin to KOD (another one) being in the room and having somehow increased the volume of a television set to prevent the struggles and screams of the young girl being heard—it seems there was a rape.

A Disappointed Adom Fm’s Captain Smart Fan Writes: ‘So He is Not All That After All’

Captain Smart
Captain Smart

Dear Chris-Vincent,

I would like to thank you and your team for your recent exposure of Adom Fm’s Captain Smart; I am a big fan of Smart—let’s say I used to be but no more…

Before anything, let me ask this simple question which popped into my head after listening to the various damaging and disgusting audio recordings on activities of Captain Smart and several women.

What moral, legal or ethical right would this same Captain Smart have to be able to sit on Adom Fm in the future and question any individual— be it a politician or a thief on any issue of corruption, thievery, fraud or indecent conduct considering his exposed antics?

I would say, that is his career gone down into the gutter, all caused by women and his disgusting ways of dealing with them.

I am particularly not a saint so I wouldn’t be able to blame him for wanting to sleep with multiple women but ganging up with his mother and taking from these women who have children knowing that he is not really interested in them is pure evil.

And the way he treated these women like rags, even after sleeping with them and exploiting them financially is pretty shocking. Which decent man would do that?

The Infected Roots Are Spreading to the Other Parts Of The Tree | My Shocking Experience in Ghana Involving the Police…

Ghana Police
Ghana Police

Hello Chris-Vincent,

I do not know how to narrate this story, but also there is no way I can keep silent about it. Not being a resident who resides in Ghana, for years when I hear people preach about corruption in Ghana, I took it lightly (being naïve), but with what happened to a friend, I can now understand that the type of corruption people are complaining about is not a level one, either is it a level two or three, but rather something that has become a mindset and a culture of our people in power.

This incident happened two weeks into my arrival in Ghana for my short internship. Upon my arrival, I stayed in one of Accra’s shall I call it decent hotels in an area I will only give a couple letters of the name “Abe”. Everything was going well, until a big incident happened that completely made me loss trust and respect for Ghana police in that area, I mean I believe it is probably not the only place in Ghana such things happens, but these people blew my mind with their actions. I went out and was asked by the receptionist to check my room to see if everything was in order as I have left it.

My friend asked me to check my room and I arrived in my room with everything completely in order, (thank God). I rushed to ask what had happened and my friend (receptionist) explained to me that some people who were blind whom I have had several encounters with and are in Ghana to host a program have had items stolen.

The type of stuff am talking about are passports, laptops which contained important documents, iPhones, money and many more. They reported incident to the police. The police arrived within an hour, asked the receptionist what had happened in which he told them; he had just started his shift and that only two gentlemen had returned their hotel keys since he started working.

The police went up to look at what had happened, came back and arrested the receptionist. I asked the police officer what charges he was arresting the guy for, what evidence have they gotten against the guy that he is the one who did the stealing and why has he not read him his rights. The policeman in awe, was shocked at someone questioning his actions just as Chris-Vincent’s article “Opanin is Always Right….in My Back Side” reported. No one questions the elderly.

Counselling & Extra Work Could Not Save Menaye Donkor & Sulley Muntari’s Marriage?

Menaye Donkor and Sulley Muntari
Menaye Donkor and Sulley Muntari

Hello Chris,

I am sure you may have heard of the new developments coming from the quarters of Sulley Muntari and Menaye Donkor which has the old truth you published some few months ago that their marriage has almost collapsed.

According to new online reports, the two tried to rescue their marriage following the various publications during the World Cup season by agreeing to give it a second try—and it seems that too did not work.

Apparently, the couple even went to see a marriage counsellor and agreed to work extra hard to make things work but it seems nothing can glue their differences together anymore as Sulley Muntari has been gravitating away from his wife each passing day.

From the reports, the making of baby issue by Menaye Donkor remains a central reason which has brought their marriage situation to an all time low and this time, a divorce is at the corner.

Apart from the baby issue, there are reports that Sulley Muntari is not really happy with Menaye Donkor’s circle of friends, her non-working status and also the fact that she has not been able to settle her differences with his mother, an important person in his life.

Has Chris-Vincent Not Seen a CHANGE in Christabel Ekeh’s Complexion? | Bleaching Alert

Christabel Ekeh
Christabel Ekeh today

Hello Chris-Vincent,

Though you are one of the most brutal and say it as it is writers I have ever come across on the web, you leave some of us a little upset with your bias which you do not hide.

I respect you for saying you are biased because to be frank, every human being is biased but I believe when it comes to fighting a well meaningful cause like campaigning against skin bleaching, we ought to leave behind whatever favouritism we hold and hit the nail on the head, all the time.

I am a big fan of Yvonne Nelson and yet on this platform as well as many, I have refused to defend her skin bleaching. I condemn her for that aspect of her life or just refuse to comment because I find it shameful that she is doing that, being her fan.

Christabel Ekeh2
Christabel Ekeh few years ago

For many years, you have nailed it on the head for Yvonne Nelson making sure everyone knows she bleaches and my grandmother even knows about this including her cocobutter story. You have really reached a lot of people with your anti-skin bleaching campaign as far as Yvonne Nelson is concerned.

I therefore write to bring your attention to a new person worth looking at, someone who may be your friend but as I mentioned earlier, a good cause must be devoid of bias so let’s say it as it is.

Nepotism is a Disease in Ghana | In My Family I Am Not Allowed to Marry 3 Kinds of People-An Ashanti, A Catholic Or Someone From the Opposition Political Party

ewe-beauty-regal-divine1

Dear Chris,

Even though we are facing deepening economic crisis in Ghana, the race of ethnic notions is a bigger problem, gaining stronger roots each day.

When I was working in Takoradi a couple of months ago at the Port (COCOBOD-PBC), the struggle I went through just to get a place to stay and smooth sail of my work all because of past accusations levelled against my ancestors was unbelievable.

Some people just didn’t like me because of my ethnic background.

Submitting proposals and other assignment and negotiating as third party during work meant that you always had to take precautions which insignificantly caused mistrust and tension most at times.

Certain places in Takoradi are death traps for certain groups because of some stupid events created by dead and forever gone people who play no significant role in present times. Same cases have been heard in the Ashanti and Volta Region respectively.

Open Letter to Sandra Ankobiah | Obsessed Fan Who Claims to Be in Love Writes…

Sandra Ankobiah
Sandra Ankobiah

Hi Chris,

As part of the GC family, i would like to express my dying love and obsession for Sandra Ankobiah. My name is Redeemer Joe Edudzi, a student, developing blogger coupled with the different branches of arithmetic — Ambition, Distraction, Uglification, and Derision.

They say it is completely fruitless to fall in love with a celebrity and just a means of snapping an opportunity for publicity and an apple-polish especially in Sandra Ankobiah’s status—a lawyer, TV host, Actress, Entrepreneur and a Fashionista.

I saw Sandra for the 1st time in a movie some 3years back and i went completely “GAGA”. Her charming eyes, lovely smile and smooth talk caught up with me like a spell. I have kept taps on her since and I always check up on her all over social media and several tabloids.

My friends support me in some instances to stalk her on social media which I do without reply of course and pursue her on shows and other relevant programs she attends. They make fun of me whenever I run helter-skelter just to catch up on her morning show on TV3 “NEWDAY” every weekday.

Can the Tribalism STOP? | What Has Ewes Done to Some Ghanaians?

Human_Development

Dear Chris-Vincent,

Can you please publish the below write-up for me?

I am a proud ewe man who will never want to be anything else but it does not mean, I do not respect other Ghanaian tribes or feel my tribe is anyway better than them others.

Before I proceed, let me point out that human beings are naturally bad or evil and as such, there are bad or evil people in whatever groupings you will come up with. So in every tribe, you will find bad people out there and no crime is associated with just one tribe. Same way you will find good people in whatever tribe you examine.

In each tribe, there are people who are thieves, liars, greedy, womanizers, prostitutes and also those who are greedy. Stereotyping any group of people in the way some people have been doing on this site does not show how ignorant they are, it also tells a lot about the hatred they have built in their hearts for no reason.

Even though Chris-Vincent recently wrote an article in which he said all the above—adding that, tribalism has no place in 21st century, most people on this same blog unceasingly perpetuate tribalism and constantly insult ewes.

Victoria Hammah’s Police Arrest of Boyfriend Case | I Think I Know What MUST Have Happened

Victoria Hammah
Victoria Hammah

Hello Chris-Vincent,

So I didn’t know you have some sort of family connection with Victoriah Duna Hammah until I read the latest news on our former deputy Minister this morning on your blog, GhanaCelebrities.Com.

Can I ask a silly question? What is the weight of the Victoriah Hammah duna in kilograms? You may need Albert Einstein to do this complex calculation.

Anyway, so according to what I read, Victoria Hammah got her boyfriend arrest early morning at around 7:45 am on Wednesday September 10, 2014 and her initial complaint was that the boyfriend had beaten her over a disagreement with certain details of their s*xual adventure.

So when the police went for the boyfriend’s statement, the report says the guy stated they had a disagreement over something Victoria Hammah wanted him to do s*xually which he didn’t or couldn’t do…right?

Since I am good at solving the puzzles with my recent work being why men are idiots, let me tell you what I believe happened at the morning between Victoria Hammah and her boyfriend which got her upset and led to the arrest of her poor boyfriend.

It is not possible to go anywhere from the back of Victoria Hammah and I think we will all agree on this. It is like hitting your head against a thick wall, hoping to find yourself at the other side of the wall.

But as a woman, she has heard a lot about the bend over and take the back shots so she has been for many months asking her boyfriend to give that treat, I think.

The Creative Arts Industry in Ghana – A Picture Of Melancholy

Creative Arts Industry
Creative Arts Industry

I am not about to pour scorn on the Mahama led Government or attempt to get it to change its policy on the Creative Arts Industry but from where I sit, I am rather saddened by the talk and lack of action on the part of government to deliver on its promises to the Creative Arts.

For many of us, the reconfigured Ministry of Tourism, Culture and the Creative Arts was a welcome departure from the norm where the Creative Arts Industry was not even included in Government portfolios. Even though I believe that the addition of the Creative Arts portfolio to Tourism and Culture was misplaced and ill advised, I believe that it was a good start in recognizing the Industry for its contribution to National Development.

The challenge for many of us in the industry however, is the rather slothful progression of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts to get the Creative Arts wheel turning. Ghana is not all about tourism and culture. I dare say that culture is simply our way of life and so all Ministries embody our culture. The focus on tourism by the Ministry on Tourism is also in my opinion misplaced; in the wake of the appalling conditions at tourism centres around the country. (If our leaders have balls of steel, they will entirely scrap the Ministry of Tourism and strengthen the Ghana Tourist Authority to oversee Tourism and Culture in the Country). Now back to my subject matter!

Ghana’s Creative Arts Industry is perhaps the oldest industry we have. From the days of our forefathers, we danced, had theatre, played music, made amazing crafts and artifacts and created fine garments. The Creative Arts industry is not only dance, music and drama though. It involves a vast number of other disciplines. Fashion design, textile making, accessories design, even architecture and landscaping are all elements of the creative arts. It beats my imagination when a government promises and pays an organization huge sums of money, (MUSIGA on my mind) to promote its activities. Or am I right to say that the money pledged was not meant for one organization?

My Ordeal with the ‘FAKE’ Man of God | These Men Are Not SCARED of God

Businessman silhouette

Hello Chris-Vincent,

The Mercy of God is being taken for granted by several people and worst of them all are his own people, those who claim to working in His name for the good of His people.

I’ve heard several bad accounts from people on different men of God but until my recent encounter, I did not know from experience how some of these men of God operated.

Few years ago, someone I knew briefly in America offered to buy me through auction a cheap BMW x5 and ship it to Ghana for 15,000 dollars and since I was excited about the deal and its perfect presentation, I cleared all my accounts including my credit cards to send this guy the mentioned amount.

And after this man that I got to know through a flat mate received the money via moneygram, I did not hear from him again. That was the beginning of my many woes!

Two years after my money was gone for good, I was making dinner in the kitchen with another flatmate (a woman) when we heard a Pastor speaking on the kitchen stationed radio, saying, someone listening to him right now has been duped and he can pray to help the person get his money back.

I felt this man was referring to me and since the woman I was in the kitchen with wanted her boyfriend at the time to marry her, we decided to go and see this Pastor having taken his name and phone number from the radio show.

We called the Pastor the next day and booked for an appointment to see him. On the train, I thought about what I would do with my money when the guy finally give it back to me and how I will never send any money to anyone even if I know the person for many years to get me anything in this world. I have learned my lesson the hard way.

We saw the Pastor and told him about our problems and after listening and saying a short prayer with us, he asked that we pay 150 pounds so he can use this money to buy some oils and other things to pray for us. I was desperate and my flat mate was also so we paid this money. And that was it all. We lost the money to this man of God and we did not see any result.

Soon after, my flatmate’s boyfriend even left her and I did not hear anything from this guy who had taken my money and when I called the Pastor, he said he had  prayed for us and wonders shall happen in few days.

Joselyn Dumas’ Social Media Cholera Campaign | A Futile Effort with No Sense of Practicality to a Serious Problem?

Joselyn Dumas
Joselyn Dumas Cholera campaign

Dear Chris-Vincent,

The ALS ice bucket challenge was meant to be a simple and fun way of raising awareness for a debilitating and terminal illness. Ever since the campaign started, a lot of money and awareness has been raised for Lou Gehrig’s disease.  The ALS research center at Johns Hopkins University has reported over 80% increase in its endowments. We all hope to hear of a cure for this debilitating and terminal illness soon.

The purpose of the challenge was to raise awareness and MONEY for ALS research. That’s exactly what the challenge has accomplished. Yes, a lot of people have used the challenge as nothing but a popularity stunt, but it does not withhold the fact a lot more people know about ALS now than they did a month ago.

Back in our neck of the woods, things are completely different. All over Instagram, countless of Ghanaian celebrities have uploaded pictures of videos of themselves, pouring buckets of ice cold water on themselves. A lot of these local champions wear weaves. I always thought the number rule for wearing weave was: Never get it wet! I guess that’s beside the point. After pouring ice cold water on themselves, these “celebrities” claim they plan on donating money to a local NGO in Ghana because there is NO ALS society in Ghana-as if we did not know that already.  As much as I’d like to congratulate them for being abreast with current affairs and helping fight a good cause, I cannot pretend. How many of these local champions support a local charity?

Our love of everything Western is shameful and crippling.  Joselyn Dumas took to twitter to bash her fellow stars for their “ignorance.” A lot of people were proud of her. These same people who did not agree with Ama K Abebrese’s skin bleaching campaign, but who am I to judge?!

Joselyn’s campaign, although a good start, is an impractical solution to a serious problem. Cholera is caused by filth! Everywhere you look, our gutters are filled with garbage and feces. Instead of starting a campaign where individuals post pictures of themselves with their mouths covered, and the inscription, “I’d rather starve than eat contaminated food.” How about I suggest something practical? CLEAN THE FILTH AROUND YOU.
