Akosua Abebrese Writes: Men Are Deeply & Stupidly Confused + My Take on Father’s Day

Black woman
Black woman

I am back folks—and before you blame me for the long absence, check which country I write from. I do not have damn electricity most hours of the day when I really need it and interestingly, when I am sleeping around midnight or at work, the power comes on.

Left alone to the World Witches Association with their headquarters situated at Damango in the Northern Region of Ghana, working through their national agent-Electricity Company of Ghana, I wouldn’t be able to write a single article a month. But today, the witches seem to have over slept so I have power when I am home and the cobwebs which have taken over my laptop have been duly cleaned.

And if you are wondering why the World Witches Association’s headquarters is at Damango—that is where that man called John Dramani Mahama comes from.

Anyway, before I jump to look at the confused state of these people who we unfortunately have to deal with every day called MEN—let me throw out my take on the annual Father’s Day celebration.

Obviously, Father’s Day is not as popular as Mother’s Day in Africa and the reason is simple; a vast number of African fathers are useless compared to mothers. They just pass out semen and disappear, leaving mothers to carry the semen for 9 months—and take care of the end product of the semen, human beings for the rest of their lives.

In fact, I think we should have “Shaming Father’s Day” instead in Africa and that will surely be well celebrated—on this day, we will parade those useless fathers on the street and punch them in the face. Of course, with chains on their hands and legs, and their eyes well covered so they wouldn’t know who is doing the heavy slapping.

I will bring my own father for the daily rehearsal; what an a$$hole…

With the above said, I still think it’s wrong for us to celebrate our mothers on Father’s Day—that is abuse of position and it’s unfair. If your father is or was a douche bag like mine, I am sure there was a man (be it family, friend or a stranger) who played a key role or occasional important roles in your life. You can celebrate such a man who came forward and helped when your father failed to show his annoying face.

So I do not support what Ghanaian actress-Yvonne Nelson and several others do yearly. I am sure a man has helped somehow in their lives and they can use this single day to say “Thank You” to this man by celebrating him. And by a man, I don’t mean that stupid so called Uncle of yours who helped but also wanted to touch your boobies or sleep with you.

CHRIS-VINCENT: I Support the Ga gods for Killing Over 200 Ghanaians in Accra Flood | My Only Problem is; They Should Have Killed MORE People

Chris-Vincent Agyapong Febiri
Chris-Vincent Agyapong Febiri

I actually support the Ga gods for killing over 200 Ghanaians with a flood and fire for the gross disobedience. My only problem is that, they should have killed more people…

If the Christian God (according to the Bible) killed almost everyone (including women and children) and left Noah and a few people ‘plus’ the animals with a flood which credulous Christians believe as having actually happened—why are the same people finding it difficult or appalling to believe the Ga gods actually caused the Accra flood and fire?

If the God of Israel was able to open the ground and hundreds of people were pulled into it—and closed it afterwards; why can’t the Ga gods also be killing anyhow they want, especially when people disobey them?

It’s hypocrisy as a reasonable person not to question the Noah’s biblical story and yet set off to question the Ga Traditional council’s story. But then, religion breeds no reasonable person so what am I talking about…

WTF is Wrong With Ama K. Abebrese & the Several Others? | This Waist Trainer/Training Nonsense Must Stop

From Ama K. Abeberese's instagram page
From Ama K. Abeberese’s instagram page

Actress/TV personality-Ama Konadu Abebrese is a ‘good’ friend and a smart person—and that is why I am shocked. That is also why I have decided to go after her on this one and by stretch take on all the other bimbos bombarding social media platforms like facebook and instagram with this new waist trainer nonsense, despite all the health risks and the fact that it does not work as they claim.

This whole generation and market of waist trainers/training was championed by the Kardashian cotton-heads…

Kim Kardashian has posted several photos on instagram claiming to be obsessed with waist training/trainers—so has Khloe and out of that quarters, Jessica Alba ridiculously attributed her sexy post baby body to wearing a similar product (corset) day and night for 3 months.

Today, this waist training/trainer nonsense has found its way into the African lifestyle and even though I’ve come across several lame African celebrities and wannabes promoting this on social media, I’ve remained resolute in not writing a piece to give them attention.

CHRIS-VINCENT: How Come These Internet Fraudsters Are So STUPID? | How My Email Won 800 Thousand Dollars in An America Lottery

Lottery

The dumbest fraudsters I’ve come across in life are those internet ones who send random emails out—trying to get you to open some file, send you some huge money they claim to have, those saying you’ve won a lottery and lastly, those who claim to be from a certain bank.

Sometimes, I spare a minute to ask myself this; do these people ever get to scam anyone out there with these old widespread lame tricks? But, it must be working for them somehow—else, why have they not decided to alter the same old obvious scam they’ve been peddling for many years?

To me, they are deeply stupid and lazy—you must also be deeply greedy or stupid to fall for their tricks.

If you have an email address, I am sure you’ve received several emails from some people who claim to be surviving spouses, children or relatives of a rich African billionaire who left behind huge sums of cash—and they intend to transfer this cash to you or intend to make you the beneficiary.

This line of scam has been going on since emails became available and yet, they continue to push it. I even got an email like this yesterday from a certain Hussein from Libya. I don’t even believe that email came from Libya…

And then we have those who work for a big unheard-of lottery organisations, carrying the good news of your huge winnings.  A few years ago, I decided to play a little dumb to one of these emails to see how far it will get for an experience purpose—and it was really interesting.

Out of the blue, I got an email from a certain Elizabeth who said she was in charge of accounts at a lottery firm in Ohio, USA and that my email address had somehow been selected randomly as a winner of their annual lottery. She added that, I had won 800,000 dollars so she was writing to congratulate me and ask for my details so they can swiftly send out my cheque.

Of course I knew this was one of those stupid attempts at scam; because no one will give out such a huge sum of money to anyone for free—more also, for a lottery that you did not even enter into. But I decided to play along and quickly wrote back…

In my reply, I mentioned that I was really excited to have heard the news—and in fact the timing was so right because I needed a bit of money to add to a large loan I had taken to purchase a Yacht as I was moving to Liechtenstein. Take note of the country I picked, I doubt a Yacht will be of any good use there—but they were too stupid to even spot my sarcasm.

The Greatest Irony: Africa’s Best Mayor’s City Flooded Again | Killing Over 150 People

Mayor of Accra Billboard
Mayor of Accra Billboard

When I say I do not regard any award scheme in Africa, especially Ghana, people jump to attack me—but what is the point in receiving awards for the widespread patchiness such as this; Best Mayor of Africa award.

A few weeks ago, the Accra Metropolitan Chief Executive, Alfred Oko Vanderpuije (Mayor of Accra) was awarded in far away Angola as the ‘Best Mayor of Africa’ and on his return to Ghana, a giant billboard (above) was mounted to welcome him—I assume, using the taxpayers’ money.

Forget the billboard, we are talking about a country where billboards are mounted indiscriminately with the recent I saw belonging to someone selling ‘MAGIC’.

Yesterday, it rained a little heavily in Accra and each year around the same time of the year, this happens—with the same consequence; unimaginable flood killing several people and destroying millions of properties.

This is a third world country where people struggle to buy a mere television—with a single night of rain destroying every electrical appliance people have worked hard for many years to own.

The main problem of the continuous yearly flooding is the poor drainage system—the city has no gutters and don’t tell me those potholes out there choked with garbage are gutters. If you want to see what is regarded as gutters in Ghana, CLICK HERE for our recent coverage.

Koeman6969 may not be rich as Kenpong but for a young man with no known businesses, he sure has a lot of money to splash on cars—and to finance the lifestyle he puts on display on instagram.

IN PHOTOS: All-Round Filthy Gutters in the Capital | Why Accra Still Records the Highest Cases of Cholera in Ghana in this 21st Century

Accra, Capital of Ghana

Seriously, Accra is more than qualified to be ranked among the many African cities that truly understand dirtiness – and I mean real dirtiness. If you’ve had the opportunity to live in Ghana’s finest capital city before, this assertion will not sound eccentric to you.

From the homes of many Ghanaians living in Accra to the streets, one thing that you’re sure to come across is filth, most of it being sachet water rubbers. It is not surprising that Accra still records the highest cases of cholera in Ghana in this 21st century.

Mind you, the Mayor of Accra Metropolitan Assembly, Dr. Alfred Okoe Vanderpuye was recently adjudged Africa’s Best Mayor for developing the capital city. Development indeed! And a billboard was even mounted in Accra to welcome our Mayor back after a trip to receive his award in Angola. Dumping of garbage in gutters without any restriction is a norm in Ghana and as such, people gladly adhere to this rule – from the law enforcer to the layman on the street.

GhanaCelebrities.Com decided to visit some areas in the capital and check out how clean Ghanaians keep their gutters. Our ratings, on a scale of 0 – 100, might give the impression that we are mean to Ghanaians so we will allow you to do the ratings after glancing through the photos.
