11 Undisputed Photos That Tell You Everything You Need to Know About President Mahama's 'INCOMPETENT' Administration So Far

blank

President Mahama Pad
President Mahama Pad

President John Dramani Mahama’s NDC-led-administration has been tagged incompetent by Ghanaians for several reasons—and that was way back before he declared himself a ‘dead goat.’
For a leader that gave the people a high level of hope—and promised to change the lives of ordinary Ghanaians for better under the wings of his ‘Better Ghana Agenda’, it seems ironic that his administration has become synonymous to the word ‘INCOMPETENCE.’
It’s been one scandal after scandal, or one shocking mismanagement followed up another all under the supervision of President Mahama.
Sometimes people argue that Mahama should be cut a slack because it’s not all his doings—the people he appointed to help him move Ghana forward have disappointed him.
Perhaps, that’s true but then you cannot excuse a leader that fails to properly supervise his appointees and in this case, punish those who that take the interest of the national for granted.
Today, we bring you 11 undisputed images which define Mahama’s administration as running on empty fuel—incapable of driving the prosperity it promised.

The 2015 Ghana Movie Awards took place at the Accra International Conference Center on 30th December—and apart from the various awards which were handed out with majority going to Netflix’s Beasts of No Nation, the various celebrities and attendees made fashion statements.
Nadia Buari tried to grab the headlines with her ‘Bollywood’ style dress—but for us, Akosua Busia’s beautiful dress was the most stunning outfit on the night.
Nikki Samonas’ see-through gown was not that bad, so was Ama K. Abebrese’s well tailored dress.
GhanaCelebrities.Com’s Fashion & Beauty-contributor, Akosua Vee also made a bold fashion statement—while Deborah Vanessa kept it plain and simple.
We’ve put together all the photos; from the red carpet to the auditorium for you to catch up on the moments you missed.

OPEN GOSSIP: A Certain Popular Ghanaian Actor Has A Very Small D*ck…A Fraction of Wisa’s Manhood-Claims A Female GC Reader

open gossip

Gossip

Ghanaian rising musician-Wisa has been on the lips of almost every Ghanaian for two reasons; for being such a douche bag to pull out his manhood in front of several thousands of people at a concert in Accra—and also, for the fact that you need a magnifying glass to clearly see the the d*ck he gladly pulled out on stage.

Considering how poor Wisa is blessed in that department, it would be reasonable to conclude that he was bewitched by his family witches. Else, who would happily disgrace himself this way?

Several Ghanaians have mocked the size of Wisa’s infamous manhood but according to a GhanaCelebrities.Com reader who identified herself as Amma, Wisa is not the only casualty of the small d*ck syndrome.

And that, a certain popular Ghanaian actor has a fraction of what people are calling a small d*ck—as to how Amma got know the size of this actor’s manhood, she didn’t tell us.

The utility of music to human endeavours is one that can never be overstated. Even before the highly digitalised era of music today, replete with enough instruments that fine tune and even alter the music being churned out by the singer- humans have found ways to give voice to their inner sense of wonder.

Aside being a means of entertainment, music has also served several other purposes, such as serving as a means of communication. Over time, several genres and forms of music have developed, serving different groups of people during different periods of history.

Donald Trump is A Legend: Of Course in Stupidity and Jingoism

Donald Trump

From BrutallyUncensored.Com

The Republican presidential race is the most remarkable collection of idiots ever—sorry to the few sane people in the race. But if you have Donald Trump and Ben Carson on top of you with their unending political empty hubris and you still continue to compete; then surely you must be no different from them in reality.

The Republicans are largely conservatives but until recently, made possible by Donald Trump, I did not know the in-and-out of being a conservative is to simple be stupid and champion all manner of jingoistic rhetoric to lead the poll.

Of course Trump continues to entertain us but it’s worrying that a bunch of Republicans do not see him as a clown, rather, a man of vision—a man capable of leading America.

The latest from the camp of Donald Trump is unbelievably absurd: he says all Muslims should be banned from entering the United States—and his supporters are rejoicing in this nonsense.

That’s such a fine foreign policy to advocate for; that the reasonable way America can deal with the growing terrorism in and outside the country is to place a blanket ban on all Muslims—and perhaps, we would need Trump to help us ascertain how we would be able to determine who is a Muslim and who is not.

Yesterday, Simon Cowell became a Donald Trump without Trump’s political mask on at the X-Factor’s semi-finals—he trashed the performance of a contestant so bad that it was heartbreaking.

But for Ghana’s ‘Reggie n Bollie’, together with all the judges, he felt in love with them once again—and even said that the finals will not be great without the two in there.

So if we are to take anything from Cowell’s statement, then  ‘Reggie n Bollie’ are heading straight to the finals. However, it all depends on what UK’s voters will say.

No ‘Vernacular’ in the House | the New ‘Pathetic’ Trend of Ghanaian Parents Prohibiting Their Kids from Speaking Their Local Languages at Home…

Black Child

Last week, I met a young Ghanaian lady whom I later got to know as Shirley in Accra— studying Spanish and hoping to work at the Foreign Affairs ministry.

Shirley spoke English, Twi, Ga and Hausa, and she was paying huge amounts of money to add Spanish to her impressive CV of languages. Though I cannot speak Spanish, I know a few sentences from my regular visits to Spain so I was able to chip in a few sentences during our introduction.

In Ghana, most educated people are bi-lingual; they speak mostly English and their native language. A few others speak more than two languages. My mother for instance fluently speaks English, Twi, Hausa and Dagbani, and my senior brother, a chemistry lecturer speaks English, Twi and Hausa.

Like most Ghanaians, I speak only two languages; Twi and English—but I wish I could speak one more Ghanaian language. I speak Twi because that was what my family spoke at home and with English being the language of instruction in Ghanaian schools, there was no way I could have missed that.

It’s beautiful and important that a person is able to speak at least his own native language—if not for anything at all, for the sake of identity and culture.

However, there is a growing pathetic trend in Ghana where parents are prohibiting their children from speaking any other language apart from English at home—to the extent that children born and growing up in Ghana cannot speak or comprehend  any other language except English.

My Thoughts: They Say Ghana is Fast Developing…

Ghana
Ghana

They say Ghana is developing and in the last few days, I have seen several new buildings, restaurants and malls—yet the plights of ordinary Ghanaians remain, their standard of living remains the same, if not worse.

Perhaps, our screwed understanding of development is what is causing the confusion; my sister’s house runs almost every night on generator and people have to fetch water in a bucket to the bathroom before or after using the toilet in a 21st century capital city—that’s development for us.

A lot of people are driving expensive cars, amazing and inspiring but ask yourself, on what roads are they driving these? What we have in almost all the communities in Accra are not even feeder roads, they are mining grounds on which cars run.

Last night we dropped a friend at Lagoon View Estate where several of our Ghanaian Celebrities live, and it’s beautiful out there. The roads in the gated estate are all well done. But we had to drive through thick mud and body pain causing red roads before getting there. That’s a fabulous lifestyle and those living there are paying hugely for this.

What I am trying to say is; real development should touch the lives of all, not a few. And what is the point in having your house well cleaned and gated when you have to walk through huge animal droppings or slums hosting criminals to make it there?

PHOTOS From Gifty Anti & Nana Ansah Kwao’s Wedding…

Gifty Anti and Nana Ansah Kwao
Gifty Anti and Nana Ansah Kwao

TV Presenter-Gifty Anti and Nana Ansah Kwao of Joy Fm finally got married today at Aburi in Eastern Region—and the ceremony was colorful with tradition well represented.

Gifty Anti who is 45 years old’s marriage has become the talk of Ghana—with some saying, her antics leading to the marriage is a backtrack on her widely championed belief that marriage should not be ultimate in a woman’s life.

GhanaCelebrities.Com’s resident writer-Edith Osei Bonsu in an excellent piece published a few hours ago argued that: Though her [Gifty Anti] life and work are obvious testimony that a woman can even break the glass ceiling without a husband pushing her, her recent antics which is a clear backtracking of everything I admired about her in relation to marriage is pathetic and scary.

I am not saying she should not have gotten married, because that is not the point of the argument—being married does not mean you cannot still hold the belief that women are valuable independent of men.

I am a married woman and having married for over 6 years, I believe I have a lot of experience in this area—far more than Gifty Anti who is about to join the boat. And yet, I share in the conception that marriage does not define a woman or it’s not the deal breaker for women.

Akosua Abebrese Writes: Gifty Anti…Adorable & Empowering But Her ‘Marriage Misfortune’ is Not A Crown for Women to Wear

Gifty Anti and her soon to be husband-Nana Ansah Kwao
Gifty Anti and her soon to be husband-Nana Ansah Kwao

I have been on a mini writing hiatus because my laptop broke down, I sent it for repairs and this good for nothing repairer left Accra for Bimbila to attend his great grandfather’s funeral without telling me—and up to date, he has not shown his face in Accra.

I guess in every misfortune there is a blessing since I have gotten a new laptop—by the kind courtesy of a man who wants to have his way with me though he is married with 6 children. I have told him I am not interested in playing with his married and fatherly pot belly but if he desire to make my everyday a Christmas, I sure have enough space in my room to take in all the goodies.

And you know what, I have screenshot our conversation so that if his wife shows up at my door one day, I will gladly show her that I did all a sister should have done for her husband to leave me alone—but he didn’t and he just wanted to help solve my financial problems.

When God sends the devil, He quickly sends the angel of kindness to redeem the chaos—He sent John Mahama to us in Ghana to capsize the economy and He gladly sent this man as my one and only redeemer.

Now that I have explained myself, let me move on to the serious issue. In fact, you guys are not my editors so why did I even bother explaining to you where I have been?

Gifty Anti
Gifty Anti

Anyway, the absence of the laptop also gave me a lot of free time to experiment new things with this young guy who just moved into my area—I may share his story one day when I am done draining all his energy.

So Gifty Anti is getting married after many years of wishing and praying, though she claims she was not doing any of these things…right? We do not sleep with her so it’s only reasonable that we believe she did not really care about getting marriage as a Ghanaian woman in her mid 40s.

You must know nothing about the importance of marriage in Africa and the societal structure of Ghana to believe Gifty Anti was genuinely not worried in anyway about the non-forthcoming of marriage while her age was on a speed dial, running like Tigo credit when you call China.

I believe she was worried though she once said she was not in a hurry to get married. At 45, if she was not in a hurry to get married, how come within few months after this comment, she is getting married? If that is not HURRY, what else is then?

I think Gifty should be honest about her situation, the fears that came with it and help others find solace in what has finally found her—but she seems to brush it off, saying, marriage has never been a big deal for her.

Don’t get me wrong, I adore Gifty Anti and I am happy that finally she is going to have a man she can look in the faces of all the haters and proudly say, he is MINE. Though it should not be so, husbands are the pride of most African woman—and our culture places huge significance on this.

It was a normal Saturday morning for me. Lying in bed and browsing the web for any bit of interesting news which I’d eventually feel too lazy to write about anyway. Interspersed with the occasional break of 20-30 minutes to watch an episode of Seinfeld.

So I open my Facebook account and I have a couple friend requests. One is from a guy whose profile picture made it very clear he’s into the occult. I accepted immediately, a chance to get a few chuckles out of another moron on my timeline; or so I thought.

See the Deep Ignorance of Award Winning Citi Fm Journalist-Jessica Opare | She Says TV3’s Action is Tosh

Jessica Opare
Jessica Opare

Citi Fm’s Jessica Opare claims to be an award winning journalist and yet, she seems deeply ignorant when it comes to journalism—how did she win those awards?

In Ghana, we have a lot of people sitting on TV and radio with huge following—and mostly, these people are full of ignorance. That explains the corresponding ignorance of a lager percentage of the population.

The Nana Aba Anamoah’s suspension issue has been trending—it’s expected that her friends in the journalism profession would mount support for her. But this should be done with intellect—not on the back of pure ignorance.

Jessica Opare took to twitter yesterday to question TV3 on the rationale behind the suspension of Nana Aba Anamoah—and in doing so, she requested that TV3 should publish its code of conduct for her to see if Nana Aba Anamoah violated any aspect of it. She added that the decission to take Nana Aba Anamoah off air is “tosh”.

Now, this is where Jessica’s ignorance comes to play—publish code of conduct? Has she not heard of implied code of conduct or common sense?

READERS’ MAIL: Yvonne Nelson Deserves the FAN ASSAULT | She is So Arrogant & RUDE to her Fans

Yvonne Nelson
Yvonne Nelson

Dear Chris,

I just read with excitement on your blog-GhanaCelebrities.Com that a fan nearly beat the hell out of actress Yvonne Nelson for disrespecting and failing to honour the simple fan courtesy of snapping a picture with him.

I am so glad someone has at least told this b*tch about her rude self and even had the opportunity to push that her big head.

I used to be a fan of Yvonne Nelson but have now unfollowed her on Instagram, twitter and facebook for fake social media love for fans which do not come into play in real life.

It’s embarrassing to talk about how rude this girl treated my friend and I but to make my point, I will let it out.

About a year ago, my friend visited from United States and even though I live not far from Yvonne Nelson’s YN shop, I have never gone there for anything. In fact, I never even thought she will be there so that is why I probably never bothered.

One afternoon, my friend said we should check out Yvonne Nelson’s boutique which I told her about while we were doing nothing, waiting for the night to fall so we can go out.

EXCLUSIVE: Journalist-Osarfo Anthony Finally Speaks On Asamoah Gyan-Sarah Kwabla’s Alleged S*x Video, Blackmail And Extortion Case

Asamoah Gyan
Asamoah Gyan

Background

Daily Guide published an exclusive story on soccer star Asamoah Gyan a few months ago. According to the report, a 22-year-old University student-Sarah Kwablah had threatened to make public a video of Ghanaian footballer-Asamoah Gyan banging her hard…

And not only that, she also stated that she was pregnant for the footballer—as a result, Asamoah Gyan should get her a neatly furnished apartment, a housemaid and a monthly stipend of $1,000.

Somewhere along the lines, it was alleged by Sarah Kwabla’s lawyer that Asamoah Gyan rapped the young woman—claiming that, Asamoah Gyan chopped the backside of the student when she had only permitted a front entry.

GHBase.com’s Follow-Up on the Story

A close source to Sarah approached me and told me that the report made by Daily Guide is not true and so he want the outfit I write for, to publish Sarah’s side of the story. The source also added that many media houses have declined giving their platform for Sarah to tell her story.

Amongst the things Sarah wanted to make clear to the public include: How she met Asamoah Gyan, how Gyan visited her house, the sexual encounter and alleged rape and sodomy, the alleged recording of the sexual act, pregnancy and abortion, and conversations with Asamoah Gyan.

Over the past few days Ghanaians have been trying to digest the constipation inducing news that about ten of our nationals have eloped to join the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group.

For most people it is a shock that cannot be measured. A lot of people are trying to come to terms with how anyone would decide to up from their home and leave to join a group that is so self evidently callous. It would take a level of unprecedented denial for anyone to deny that ISIS is brutal, so for Ghanaians we cannot process how anyone could willingly join them.

The Social Media Comparison | Why Compare Someone’s Highlights to Your Behind the Scenes?

blackwoman-ass1
File Image

Unconsciously, many of us are living our lives guided by the façade people present to us via this new technology called social media—with Facebook and Intasgram being the leaders in the dissemination of the acute falsehood.

Beyond personal levels, relationships are collapsing because of unending social media comparisons—and a video I just came across on social media, ironically, points this out.

People are never what they present to you on social media—forget the instagram photo, that is the best shot from the best angle out of the over 30 pictures the person took. Ask about the 29 other photos, they all went into trash…

Interestingly, many of us continue to flip through social media and bitterly question why our lives are so boring, why things are not perfect with us, why our relationships have so many difficult times and why we can’t be at the beach like the others are—forgetting that, it’s shit out there for those people too.  But all they’ve done is to ignore the mess and uncertainties in their lives (the behind the scenes) and have carefully picked the few exciting moments (the highlights) to throw online just to send you those jealous shocks.

Of course you need to be smart to realize that, “real girls are not perfect and perfect girls are not real”. Therefore, when there is a presentation of that perfect girl on instagram, just know that, she is not real—you are just seeing ‘utopian’ illustrations, made easy by social media.

The pressure is immeasurable when it comes to women with a lot of them having to say things along the lines like this each day; she is getting married, when is mine coming?, Kim Kardashain is pregnant again, gosh, my biological clock is running on its last steam, those are perfect couples, why is my man such an a$$, she looks really toned, why am I not losing any weight…

The above may not only frustrate you, it certainly would mount undeserving pressure on your life, relationship and direction.

KKD Says the Girl He Was Alleged to Have RAPED Was Not 19 Years At the Time…He Believes!

Kwesi Kyei Darkwah (KKD) seems to know no shame—and he is still talking about the alleged rape case which was dropped some months ago.

This time, the broadcast journalist says, the young girl he was alleged to have raped-Ewuraffe Orleans Thompson was no way 19 years—and that she was older, at the time.

Yesterday, KKD told Bola Ray on Starr Fm that, “the thing is, I do not see how a lady who does not like you, would kiss you so passionately, and you would not be the one pinning them to the wall, and after that, after you have made love, would gladly carry your Prada bag.”

He added “I just knew that the truth would come out and that day I was just there [at the police station] and we were served the bill of indictment, the so called victim’s statement… how do you say somebody says they have been raped, somebody who actually before four witnesses at the police station said ‘I have not been raped why are you forcing me to say I was raped.”

Explaining Libertarianism To Dummies: Manasseh Azure Awuni’s Gay Marriage Faux Pas

Gay Rights
Gay Rights

We constantly decry the ignorance, bigotry, and backwards mentality of our countrymen on this site, and for good reason. There is scarcely a nation on this globe so actively dedicated to remaining in a time long gone.

This mentality is often fuelled by our irrational superstitions and a dogmatic approach to the white man’s religion. This mentality often manifests in a bigoted approach to dealing with perceived deviants; persecuting ‘witches’, lynching homosexuals; and the most common, giving our money to ‘pastors’.

This mentality has manifested tenfold in our reaction to the US Supreme Court ruling legalising gay marriage across the country. Quietly sitting in our third world country, we’ve all turned into armchair pundits, armed with our 2,000 year old Holy Book and pronouncing impending Armageddon.

Manasseh Azure Awuni is widely regarded as one of the best journalists in Ghana right now; which I would concede is probably a fair assessment. He is also one of those bible thumping, 1st century bigots this country is overrun with, as a Facebook post of his this afternoon showed.

Manasseh put forward a very shallow, close minded riposte to the Ghanaians who are describing those opposing the judgement as backwards. In a post he probably thinks puts forward a cogent argument against both homosexuals and his perceived Ghanaian opponents, he did nothing but prove himself as being one of the close minded individuals LGBT opponents often are.

No doubt it is a populist post, with most Ghanaians having that same mindset. But the arguments put forth are so shallow minded it beggars belief that a supposed top journalist in the country would confidently display them as his views on the issues. But in the land of the blind…
