Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has repeated himself that, there ought to be an extension of the presidential term in Ghana as the four-year term is not enough.
Kufuor has long been calling for this extension, arguing that to make a substantial impact as a president, 4 years is not enough.
Speaking at the International Society for African Philosophy and Studies (ISAPS) conference on the theme “Democracy Justice and Development In Africa: 50 Years after Independence”, former president Kufuor “criticized the framers of the Constitution for failing to undertake adequate research before deciding on the duration for Presidency,” reports Joy Fm.
