It was recently reported that Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson and Nollywood bad boy, Jim Iyke were engaged in a secret romance that even heaven and Earth could hardly separate the two.
According to the report, the two love birds were caught on set while shooting the movie ‘Deadly Obsession’ in Accra. Yvonne denied the rumours when she spoke to Nigeriafilms.com but confessed that they are ‘very close’. “Jim is a nice person, we are very close but I am not dating him”.
It was earlier reported that Yvonne and Jim were spotted at the Accra Mall. As if that was not enough, she was seen firmly attached to the Nollywood bad boy like a tattoo in his hotel. However, Yvonne rather reviewed that they were only ‘relaxing and mingling’ together. “We are staying in the same hotel, Adonai Hotel and in the course of working and relaxing we mingled together”.
What does she mean by mingled together, does that mean something really happened?
“That does not mean anything happened. Nothing happened behind the close doors as you’re suggesting,” she said while laughing.
Jim Iyke also explained his part of the story, “We are working together and staying together in same hotel so there is no way we won’t interact. I was always hanging around the pool by myself and one day she came around to hang out there too because she likes to keep to herself too. We got talking and realized we’re pretty much alike and that is it”, he explained to Nigeriafilm.com.
He continued, “the other day they saw us at a mall, we were all there shooting with the crew, why didn’t they see the other crew? And at the cinema, is it a crime for me to go watch a movie with a friend?”
Well Jim, of course this is not a crime but why did you follow her to the cinema, we don’t think you were shooting a movie there, were you?
“We were not shooting that day and she was going out alone. I asked her where she was heading and she said cinema, I then followed her, and there is no big deal to that. This is something every other person does. They hang out; make friends and the likes. Why is it that when I do the things (that) regular people do journalists will start writing?’
Aside this, there have been several reports concerning Yvonne Nelson’s relationship with the Ghanaian footballer Derrick Boateng and musician Jon Gemain in the media recently.
