Rana & Appietus Saga Update: Appietus Says He Invested 500 Million Old Ghana Cedis In Rana & Got Nothing Back….

Most stories have 2 sides and the onus is always on the reader/listener to determine which side appeals to his conscience.

Rana, a trio musical group has been in the news explaining why they jilted Appietus, the popular Ghanaian sound engineer’s Creative Records label to find success else where.

According to Rana, Appietus is a good sound engineer whose ability to make hit beats cannot be undermined, but Appietus as a manager (managing them), is a big disaster. Their success as young musicians with talent was curtailed during their management by Appietus “In the Mix”.

Rana saw no successful future with Appietus’ Record label and jumped off to Storm House Entertainment, a new label which they envisage would fetch them their dream success.

Now, Appietus has chipped in his side of the story, re-echoing the fact that Rana was a bad investment to his hard earned money.

It has been reported by Ghanamusic.com that, Appietus spend whooping 500 million old Ghana Cedis (50,000 GHC) on two quality music videos, expensive print, TV and radio promotion for Rana and got nothing back from them. (Geez!, Appietus, are you sure you made this much money go away like that….)

Appietus further lamented that, the group under his management were performing at shows and pocketing the returns without his knowledge. Though Appietus had a 3 album contract with Rana, he has cancelled the contract since they are nothing but a bad investment.

The two side of the story is out now, who is to be believed? You judge…..

  1. I believe Appietus is telling the truth because according to the story he is not even asking for his money back, how can someone invest such an amount in you only for you to play shows without him knowing and you also pocket the money ? God will punish this Rana boys

    • @Dickson, CO-sign with you. Appietus could easily stop Rana from moving to the new label by filing suit(does the B2K or Danity Kane split ring a bell)

when its that bad you just let it go

      • @Kin,

You really think that is what happened? It could be so though… 500 million cedis seem a bit huge to just let it fly into thin air. As you said, certain times you cannot do anything about certain things rather than to just let them go…

    • @Dickson,as a manager if your artistes play shows without your knowledge then it says a lot abt your managerial abilities. Appietus is a gud engineeer but as a manager,i’m not sure.he never said anything about cassette and cd sales.did he produce them and they weren’t bought or he didn’t?

      • I don’t think Appietus is a bad manager, I saw what Appietus did for this Rana Boys on their baby baby song, promotion on TV, Radio, News Papers etc. I hear Appietus travels a lot out of the country, this boys could have than anything behind him u no ????

  2. appietus could be right…some of these musicians are just a waste of good resources and time. MIMI is a good example.look at the no and quality of her videos alone and u can imagine what or how much her producer has wasted on her yet she does not have her name on any show to her credit.not even album sales. its like some of these artistes are just ungrateful or the producers dont know what to do with their money
