As Ghana experiences a new phase of educational policy, a new dimensional entertainment program springs up to fill the somewhat boring monotony experienced in the daily activities of high school students while they are on vacation.

This new revolution dubbed MUSIC MANIA seeks to unearth raw singing talents from the grass root and nurture them into ideal singers.

Music Mania is the first of its kind and offers high school students who have potential, a platform to exhibit to the general public. The auditions for the maiden event was held at the National Theatre between 17^th -20^th August after which fourteen (14) carefully selected students were chosen to undergo thorough grooming and a line – up of activities before the finals in December, where each student battles it out to become Ghana Youth Peace Icon.

Odenke Abbey also known as Marcel Desailly, the retired French footballer and star of the France national football squad, with whom he won the 1998 World Cup and Euro 2000, has made known his intentions to fill in the vacant coaching job of Ghana’s national team, the Black Stars.

The former FC Nantes, Olympique de Marseille, AC Milan and Chelsea defender revealed this during yesterday’s UEFA Champions League group stage match between Bayern Munich and AS Roma.

On answering the question from Anthony Baffoe in the Viasat1 football studios, Desailly said he is available for the job but was quick to add that he is aware about due process in filling the prestigious position.

Why The Blast

As an editor of GhanaCelebrities.Com,I always try to differentiate between rumours, street gossips and facts in whatever we publish.  Few weeks ago, we carried a story which was written by Ebenezer ( re-published below) captioned “ Sarkodie Slaps His Manager In The Face”.

The story stated inter alia,  we have been informed Sarkodie is recording his new album “ Rapholic” without the consent of his manager and the former has parted ways with the latter as far as their music business is concern.

We tried to contact Sarkodie but all efforts were unsuccessful. We managed to contact his manager-Dr Duncan (the one alleged to have received the slap) and he refuted the rumour.

Finalists of this year’s Miss Ghana beauty pageant have undergone a day’s grooming session at Pippa’s Health Centre located inside the Sansiro Complex at East Legon in Accra.

The grooming session, according to the organizers, will be the first in many series to be organized for the contestants from now till the final event on the 30^th of October at the Accra International Conference Centre.
