Sarkodie Blasts GhanaCelebrities.Com Over An Article With A New Tune. Listen To It Now!

If they are not talking about you, then you are not worth it they say… The fact that Sarkodie decided to hit the studio and record a whole song to blast GhanaCelebrities.Com means once again we are worth talking about…

Why The Blast

As an editor of GhanaCelebrities.Com,I always try to differentiate between rumours, street gossips and facts in whatever we publish.  Few weeks ago, we carried a story which was written by Ebenezer ( re-published below) captioned “ Sarkodie Slaps His Manager In The Face”.

The story stated inter alia,  we have been informed Sarkodie is recording his new album “ Rapholic” without the consent of his manager and the former has parted ways with the latter as far as their music business is concern.

We tried to contact Sarkodie but all efforts were unsuccessful. We managed to contact his manager-Dr Duncan (the one alleged to have received the slap) and he refuted the rumour.

We categorically stated all these in our publication which was carried by various Ghanaian websites and radio stations such as PeacefmOnline.Com, MixiGhana, GhanaNation.Com, GhanaMusic.Com, Ghfreestyle.Com, Madeinghana.com, ModernGhana.Com and Ghanaweb.Com among others.

Yesterday, I was emailed the attached below song made by Sarkodie blasting GhanaCelebrities.Com and denying the allegation of breaking up his music relationship with Dr Ducan. We live to be and we live to see….

This is Showbiz and I perfectly understand how it works. Dr Duncan, Sarkodie and I surely understand what an acceptance of breakup in relationship will do to Sarkodie’s upcoming album should it even happen to be true.

Anyway, the tune is good and I love the creative prowess of Sarkodie, his punch lines are great but not great enough as that of Mohammed Ali to knock us out. Why didn’t he mention our name (say fuck you GhanaCelebrities.Com since he said 2 or 3 fuck you in the song) if he really wanted to tell us his mind and let the entire world know he is talking about us…

Our Initial Publication: Sarkodie Slaps Manager In The Face

When I attend programs/events/shows, what I choose to blog on is my prerogative (even my boss understands) so deal with it and continue reading. To begin with, I’m doing this article based on my own curiosity.

The saying ‘the people you meet on your way up, are the same people you meet on your way down the ladder’ is etched in our minds. This follows us everywhere we go.

“Behaviour is like pregnancy, no matter what; it will pop out someday”, sometime in a manner you won’t fancy. It is also like a rumour which spreads like dust. The rumour in town is that Ghana Music Awards 2010 biggest Sarkodie will no longer say ‘It’s Dunwills Entertainment’ in any of his songs again.

I am reliably informed that Sarkodie has parted ways with Dr. Duncan of Dunwills Entertainment, a guy who picked him up from the underground world and gave him the opportunity to see a microphone.

It seems like Sarkodie’s triumph at the GMA is beginning to have an effect on him. According to GhanaCelebrities.com close source, the rapper didn’t only tell Dr. Duncan to step aside but he has shunned his boys.

The source said, Sarkodie went ahead to record an album, he calls ‘Rapholic’ without his manager’s consent. It doesn’t look clear why but earlier on, we were chipped with the information that, they contacted Akon in America for some money to complete his second album but the reply was negative.

All efforts to contact Sarkodie have been unsuccessful. Sarkodie has refused to pick our calls to either denied the rumour or explain what is going on. I guess he would prefer a press release after this article than talking to us. ( He did that the other time too..)

On the other hand, when GhanaCelebrities.com contacted Dr. Duncan on the telephone, he refuted the allegation in a manner that suggests that indeed all is not well with his relationship with Sarkodie. He said ‘It is not true, there is nothing like that, but when something like that comes up, I will let you know”.

Sarkodie “shunned” his own homeboys such as “Yaa Pono” when he climbed to fame (the latter stated this on a radio interview some months ago). Now, it seems he has proceeded to slap his own manager in face too.. Hmmmm!
