The fact that most radio stations, Tv stations, websites and newspapers are constantly using our stories, interviews and articles on their platforms without crediting us or paying us a dime led most of the bloggers on GhanaCelebrities.Com to tune in to Asempa Fm, a popular radio station in Ghana this morning, in an attempt to catch them in the act.
As we listened to their Saturday’s Entertainment show hosted by Nana Hemaa, they did the usual by running and openly discussing two of our stories without crediting us or mentioning us as the source ( Intellectual stealing and copyright violation).
This post is not about Asempa Fm’s constant use of our articles without permission or even giving thanks to us at the end of their show since Chris would be sending them a letter soon ( let Chris put what he is learning at the Law School into practice a bit), but it is about a comment one of the panelists threw out on air this morning.
My jaw was literally dropped when a panellist on Obaa Hemaa’s Entertainment show which was discussing our story captioned “Sparrow Production Speaks! Nadia Buari’s Check Mate’ Sold More Than Jackie Appiah’s ‘Perfect Picture” said, Nadia Buari is on point and she is a woman than Jackie Appiah.
I looked at Chris’s astonished face and asked, What is your definition of a woman and how did this panelist come to the conclusion that Nadia is a woman than Jackie?.
Cunning Chris who would not answer looked back and said, ask the readers, they may have an answer to this….
So this is the question, what is your definition of a woman and do you agree with what was said this morning on radio that Nadia Buari is a woman than Jackie Appiah?
Anyway Asempa Fm, next time you use our articles and work on your radio shows, do what the basic ethics of journalism and republication demand by crediting us. Your act of non sourcing and crediting amounts to copyright violation and intellectual stealing- an illegality.

Ok my definition of a woman without getting too graphic for the children on this site is a woman who has two big gigantic enormous developed boobs(not like the ones of roger or john dumelo 😳 ) and a vagina that can be ready ANYTIME to pop babies out left and right.
On a serious note, I think the definition of a woman is one who is true to herself, who holds her head up high in challenging situations. One that can stand on her own feet without feeling like she need a man to define who they are. A real woman knows how to carry herself with grace, dignity, and self respect. She is compassionate, caring,loving and courageous….. But the true definition of a WOMAN is the one like the virtuous woman in Proverbs 31. Every woman should strive to emulate the qualities of the virtuous woman in the bible.
I think both Jackie and Nadia are woman..the virtuous part, I don’t know 😉

It is sick in Africa especially Ghana when it comes to intellectual property. Anyone picks anyone’s work without prior consultation or permission and uses it. If you are even lucky, you will be credited or else the person will present it as hers.
I have a website and I spend hours each day writing to other websites for using my articles without stating that they got it from me. It is annoying and kills the drive to work.
I understand why GC is pissed. I watched tv3 sometimes and they were discussing a story from here. Do you guys have any affiliation with them, if not, you should start checking them up too.
Now the issue at hand, people sit on radio and say whatever they want and like without any fact. This only happens in Ghana that is why I hardly listen to all these talk shows and debate in Ghana. People open their loud mouths and say what the big fufu they ate in their house is telling them to say.
If Nadia is a lady than Jackie Appiah, what is her reason or why does she think so? I guess because Nadia is light skinned and Jackie is dark That is Ghana for you, it all boils down to skin colour, Nonsense. May Nadia paid this person to say that because I know she is capable of doing anything like that.
A woman to be is the one who is not pompus or stuck up, who do not think less of her follow woman, who loves everyone, who has compassion, who is friendly and who is decent. If Ken did not grant them the interview, how come he hasnt issued a statement or sue them? Some of you people who come here are too dumb. I listened to Ken yesterday, all he said was along the lines that, he didnt give out the statistics as a mechanism to compare the two actresses, it is a fact that happened out of the movie sales and that is what he said.
He did not say because of Nadia, check mate sold more or because of Jackie, Perfect picture sold less. But he said, the former movie sold more and the latter less. What GC wrote was the same, all the did was mention the lead roles by saying Nadia Buari’s CheckMate Sold More than Jackie Appiah’s Perfect Picture.

It is therefore wrong for GC to just pick part of a discussion and put it out here. It is neither fair to the 2 actresses nor the panelist and indeed Asempa FM. GC, this is an unnecessary debate and it is shameful that you are promoting this.
