Stellar Group of Companies and Pippa’s Health and Fitness Center have organized a day’s health and fitness walk session for finalists of this year’s Miss Ghana beauty pageant.
It was all fun, stress-relieving and exciting over the weekend when the twenty finalists were engaged in a near 6-Kilometre walk from the Ring Road branch of Pippa’s through the Oxford Street, the Danquah Circle, Police Headquarters, up to the Champs Sports Bar.
Led by television show host Kafui Dey, under the able supervision of walk instructors from Pippa’s and the accompanying singing of popular “jama” songs, the contestants gave off enough excitement even in that state and succeeded in capturing the thoughts of onlookers, most of who had filed along the streets to catch a lifetime glimpse of the girls.
With support coming in from officials of MWK, Stellar Group, Pippa’s, the St. John’s Ambulance crew and the Ghana Police Service who craftily coordinated the less-than-an-hour walk, very little was left to worry about as an injury-free exercise was recorded.
At the Champs Sports Bar, the contestants were met on arrival by the hearty and easy-going officials of the facility and minutes later, treated to a sumptuous three-course breakfast, which provided enough restoration of the energy lost through the walk.
Series of photo opportunities later followed as the girls savoured every moment of the day’s event in the beautiful serene atmosphere at the Champs Sports Bar.
The contestants thanked the management of the two companies for their role in ensuring a successful event.
