Okyeame Kwame Shocks Fans In Kumasi! Performs With A Live Band

blank

There is a saying that ‘He who climbs a good tree, is given a push’. This saying was given a meaning as the people of Kumasi and its surrounding areas converged at the Golden Tulip Hotel to support one of their own.

The tour is dubbed ‘OK In Your Zone’ and the sole aim is to raise funds to support his ongoing free Hepatitis B screening campaign. The Kumasi show was the first of the three cities tour. The show attracted mostly the youth who seems to have missed their ‘favourite rapper’ and were willing to even pay more than the GHC 5.00 charged at the gate, just to support a worthy cause.

My best friend relocated to a new neighbourhood and she is finding it difficult to accept the practices of the various churches near her current residence. She cannot therefore find a place to fellowship.

I was perplexed when she said to me,” I cannot find a church out here and I have even been using Google to help me in my search”.

I have been to her new place several times and knowing that there was a church few minutes away from her house, I wondered what she was talking about.

After further clarification, I realize she is just finding it difficult to find a church that she thinks is ideal for her “Christian tenets and faith”.

Upon asking “what is wrong with that church near your house”, she quickly said, I went there sometimes and all they did was collect money from us. “Can you believe we gave out offering 5 times in one service? I will certainly be broke if I go there again. They are running that church like some business”.

“6 Hours To Christmas” Came To London Last Friday, My Sincere Thoughts!

Shirley Frimpong Manso
Shirley Frimpong Manso

I’m a BIG time movie buff and will avidly watch a variety of movies including movies from overseas. West African movies have always glued me to my couch clutching my sides with laughter or shaking my head in disdain.

One thing I can say is that I’m sincerely not biased when it comes to reviewing movies and African movies are surely no exception. I guess it was different this time around as I’ve not watched an African Movie on a large screen so this did add some good points towards the movie, I feel it gives the movie some credibility.

I had to commend the scriptwriter/director of the movie “Shirley Frimpong Manso” and the rest of her production team. After all they made the effort to bring ‘6 Hours to Christmas’ over here to London on the big screen.

When I first heard it was coming to town I was more that excited as I was pretty much prepared to wait for the DVD to come out.

Motivational Message Of The Week: Your Success Depends On Your Today

blank

It is only natural that as human beings, we wake up each day to chase success, comfort and well being. If we are in an undesirable situation today, then it is simply because we failed to pick the right step in our efforts yesterday.

The correlation between our today and tomorrow certainly follows the relationship between where we find ourselves today as a result of our yesterday.

It is a common doctrine preached by many that, our input today determines our out put tomorrow. What we will attain tomorrow will simply be a mirror reflection of our today.

Our success and all that we wish for in the nearest future therefore rest on our today. Finding the right path today will bring you to the right destination tomorrow.

Failing to act today, will bring you nothing tomorrow, after all, you did nothing today so why should you expect any return? If our success tomorrow is determined by our efforts today, then we surely have a lot to do today so as to achieve the lot that we want tomorrow.

Ghana’s Film Regulatory Council Upheld Yvonne Nelson’s 1 Year “Ban” Yesterday: Goodbye Homegirl, See You Next Year!

Yvonne Nelson
Yvonne Nelson

I have been chipped the information that, the “Film Regulatory Council” of Ghana made up of various  industry ballers met somewhere in Akosombo yesterday to discuss Yvonne Nelson’s final faith. I guess when you offend so many people around you, everyone help to push you in the nearest available  gutter.

Yvonne Nelson to some extent until yesterday had a little hope. It was a matter waving away the BAN,  reducing the length or upholding it.  Karma they say is a bitch and it surely “bitched up” Yvonne Nelson as the members of the Film Regulatory Council could not find any reason to help her rather than to uphold the RED card which kicks her out of the game for a year.

Only In Ghana: A Threaten Call To Warn GC To Shut Up & Stop Writing About “Confidence Haugen The Brand”

Confidence Haugen
Confidence Haugen

I am sitting at my desk shaking like a leaf (They wish I am). It is absurd for people to just think they can call and tell you what to write and what not to write about celebrities.

The most annoying aspect of such calls is that the callers do not even understand the legal stand of the issues they raise themselves. Pathetic!

I had a phone call few minutes ago from someone who claims to be called “Lawrence” and represents “Confidence Haugen the brand”. Yes Confidence Haugen is now a brand.
