Love & Relationship: I Am Pregnant For My BF After He Made Me Think He Wanted A Baby With Me. He is Now Asking Me To Abort It. I Feel Tricked & Betrayed…

blank

Dear GC,

I have put myself in a very difficult situation and now I don’t know how to get out of it. I was single for almost two years before I met my man almost three years ago. As like most relationships the first year was really great between us.

He did have some controlling issues like not wanting me to go out or hang out with my friends but I thought he was putting on all those restrictions out of love. Even though we did argue about it I eventually let a lot of my friendships go.

A year into the relationship he asked me to move in with him. I was so happy about this and moved out of the flat I shared with my friend and  into his flat within a week.

After a month I started to regret my decision. He hardly stayed in, we never went out and I became a live in maid.

The only thing he seemed to want was for us to have a baby. He kept saying it would make us a family and marriage would come later. I believed him and because I was desperate to regain his attention I came off my pill two months ago and recently discovered I am pregnant.

I couldn’t wait to tell him but my boyfriend’s response was like a slap on the face. He said we cannot afford a baby as he needs to send money home to his family monthly and says I should abort!

He says we can try again next year when he will have a better job. I thought he was just getting cold feet but he is now also suggesting that I move back to my friend’s house if I don’t want to go for the abortion.

I am so scared and don’t know what to do! I feel tricked and betrayed.  I don’t know where to go or who to talk to.

Gladys

__________________________________________________________________

Dear Gladys,

This is truly a dreadful way for your man to respond to the news of your pregnancy. It is both heartless and selfish. However it is now for you to also put yourself first.

He will not suddenly love you and behave himself if you do this abortion so please do not be hasty in this decision!

I can understand your fear of feeling alone but should you agree to do this, not only may you regret it but there is no guarantee he will still not ask you to move out anyway.

Becca At MTN Ghana Music Awards 2011

Kiki Banson’ has spoken on his relationship with the Ghanaian afro-pop musician ‘Becca’ . For sometimes now, it has been on the lips of many “gossipers” that Becca is in some sort of romantic relationship with her manager.

In a chit chat with Daily Guide, though kiki Banson did not talk about his alleged romance with Becca, he spoke of Becca as a very determinied and hard working young musician ready to do all it takes to excel.

Check below for what Kiki Banson said about Becca…

…………………………………………………………………………..

Emmanuel Kiki Banson, the Chief Executive Officer of EKB Records, managers of the pretty afro-pop music sensation Becca, has for the first time spoken about his relationship with the diva.

In an exclusive interview with ‘Beatwaves,’ Kiki spoke about how he discovered the young female musician, her journey into stardom so far and what is in store for the future. According to him, sometime in 2006, his good friend and god father of Hiplife music, Reggie Rockstone, introduced Becca to him at the office, now Rockstone office, as someone interested in pursuing a career in music. Since Kiki himself was looking for music talents to nurture, he gave the young Becca an appointment the next day in his Tesano studio.

Kiki told ‘Beatwaves’ that though Becca had not had any studio experience until that day, he was fascinated by the depth of her enthusiasm, confidence, determination and delivery to the extent that he became convinced that she had talent he had all along been searching for. Indeed, it was that first day that Becca’s hit song ‘You Lied To Me’, was recorded.

Weekly Discussions, Let’s Get Talking: Partners’ Request For Facebook Passwords, Is It Part Of Being Opened Or Is He/She Just Being Possessive?

blank

You walk out of the door, insert the key in your car and your phone beeps, you have a new message….it reads “love you, miss you already”.

After talking on the phone for 2 hours and two minutes, there is another message,” did I tell you how much I love you?” You were on girl’s night out on Friday and husband keeps suffocating you with incessant phone calls and messages.

Is it a way of demonstrating strong love or smothering? Many times we always confuse love with smothering. Which ever way it goes, most relationship therapies concentrate on partner’s privacy, time and space, but love they say considers and respects what others desire.

If your partner keeps requesting for your password to any of the social networks, especially facebook, what will be your reaction? Is it insecurity on his part or establishing greater trust, openness and concern in the relationship?

Partners spend waking moments with each other. Never give them breathing space, grasp and stalk on them with crazy phone calls and questions. Pestering loved ones to give up seeing friends, just to spend “quality time”.

Motivational Message Of The Week: Success Lies In Developing The Opportunity At Hand

opportunity
opportunity

Success is one great but a lousy concept which mankind pursues day in and day out. Its definition is blob, so as the path to achieving and maintaining it.

Now and again, we wake up with the zeal and energy to pursuit success, aiming to achieve distinctions in our chase and living fulfilling lives.

Our strong desire to achieve the success we yarn for in order to better ourselves or to uplift our social standards leads us to question or neglect the talents and opportunities we have at hand.

It is very common to hear people saying “I wish I get that opportunity or when I get the opportunity, I will…”  More than not, we believe a new opportunity must exist or present it self for one to be successful.

Closely related to the above, we are also in-tune with a very deceiving concept of; there must be the existence of a new or extraordinary talent for one to be successful.

We are therefore in a constant search for new opportunities or talents, a search that has wasted and will continue to waste our lives if we do not subject our mindset to an immediate reconsideration.

Lesbianism Takes Over The Ghanaian Entertainment Industry; Do We Know Where We Are Going?

blank

If what I am reading and hearing is substantially true, then we got to prepare ourselves and mind for the walls when they begin to fall on us.

I believe so much in Human Rights of which the sexual orientation of people is equally important and rides on the same wavelength with Right to Life, Freedom of Speech and Expression among others. However, Human rights have and can never be universal; it stems from, inter alia, the culture and the legal frame work of a particular society.

The above therefore means that, until our culture and legal framework begin to recognize and give strong grounds as well as legal efficacy to Lesbianism in Ghana, no Human rights argument can suffice. This therefore makes ‘Lesbo’ acts illegal and socially wrong in Ghana.

Let me not bore you guys with my legal arguments and move straight to the gist. According to what I have been privy to, lesbianism is swiftly taking over Ghana’s Entertainment Industry with some of the big names on our movie screens as well as other top Night Club owners being mentioned as active ‘doers’.
