Weekly Discussions, Let’s Get Talking: Bang Before Marriage, A Moral Concept or Just A Matter Of Individual Choice…

blank

This morning, I was in the midst of 3 guys and after lengthy discussions on the state of affairs in Libya, we proceeded to look at the riots in Nigeria and then who might win Ghana’s next elections.

Before I know, these guys were talking about “Bang Before Marriage”. The very fact that I was the only female in the midst of 3 guys coupled with how uncomfortable I was with this topic being discussed loudly early hours of the morning made me go silent.

How long can a sister be mute for as these guys poured down their diabolical views in relation to women who go by the “doctrine” of until we are married, you aint getting me in your bed. I jumped in and these guys would not agree with me on any of the points I made in favour of waiting till the day of marriage.

What I gathered from this morning’s conversation to a larger extent indicates that majority of guys would opt for a “bang before marriage” while most women if they can get it their way would go for abstinence until marriage. I wonder why this trend though!

The above prompted my mind as the position of this doctrine of “No bang before marriage”, Is it a moral concept which if adhered to indicates some sort of good upbringing and adherence to morals or is it another field of individuals choice on what to do with their lives?

Ibrahim Sima, CEO Of Exopa
Ibrahim Sima , CEO Of Exopa

I hate to say “keep your advice to yourself” Ibrahim Sima. If you have any advice for the youth, you should have given it out when you were a free rich man surrounded by countless youthful models. Now that you are locked up in prison for your greed and drug peddling, you want to advice who?

I guess no matter what, advices must be listened to and if worth it,  should be given the necessary attention. Far in prison, the once upon a time big name in  Ghanaian fashion and modelling world-Ibrahim Sima has advised the youth to avoid getting into trouble with the law when he could not do the same. Swiaaa!

Anyway, read below for more….

………………………………………………………………..

Convicted fashion icon, Ibrahim Sima, the former CEO of Exopa Modeling Agency has advised the youth to avoid getting into trouble with the law whose tentacles he described as “far-reaching and unpredictable”.

Siam, jailed last month for 15 years for a narcotic offence, told the Times at the Nsawam Medium Security Prison: “I feel empty and cannot think properly since I was brought here to start a new life as a convict.”

The 39-year-old looked despondent as he sat all alone in the parking space of the Prison’s administrative block. Speaking exclusively with Times correspondent, Lawrence Markwei, the former CEO of Exopa Modeling Agency, maintains that he has not been given justice, saying everything from the arrest to his conviction was not handled well by the Narcotic Control Board (NACOB) operatives.

GC Life 101: The Curious Life of Sima, The Innocent Years – Part 1

Fishermen
Fishermen

Whoever said vanity is the killer of men surely grew up in nation in where the last time they experienced poverty was before the Industrial Revolution. I have been fortunate to live a life only few in our homeland Ghana, can ever imagine.

Because of my body, I have been able to provide employment for a thousand youth in Ghana, Germany, Venezuela and the UK combined. The name Sima Ibrahim contours up imaginations of the fashion world, the lay person and finally a whole continent.

Name the profession; I have done it, sadly though my cunning ways have come at an impasse. I am accused, guilty before proven innocent. It is as though as one snap of a finger, all the good I have done means nothing. The mouths I have fed, the inspirations I provided, and all mean nothing.

“Furer Ibrahim, sir, do you understand sir, we are doing everything we can to have you extradited back to Germany,” says the German diplomat #2. In my mind this is a lost cause, I’d rather they focus their energies on the paedophile Whiteman that has been put in cells next to me.

Why can’t they understand, regardless of my German citizenship, I am of this land and though I appreciate what my German citizenship has done and is doing for me, this battle is neither here nor there. “Please sirs, you are wasting your time, this is Africa. I have accepted my fate, let me be, please,

” I say to them, silence holds the air as I clock their dejected faces. Diplomat #1 snapped out of his reverie by saying, “very well then, it appears your health is affecting your mental capacity to accept these terms, so we shall return tomorrow, thank you for your time.”

As they turn to leave, I can’t help but put my mentoring hat back on. Both men arrived in posh suits, by the look of the cut; it is a Tom Ford gray flannel suit with leather shoes probably from Woolworths. Diplomat # 1 ought to have tied his long locks in a ponytail in order to keep up with the formal ensemble.
