Information circulating around has it that, the “16 years” hit musician has made a sudden jump into movies to rival the likes of Jackie Appiah, Nadia Buari, Martha Ankomah, Yvonne Okoro and the rest.
The exodus of musicians into the world of movies is not a new concept in the world of Entertainment. In the western world, certain musicians double as actors and the vice versa. However, Mzbel has been silent with musical hits for sometimes and I cannot remember any major hit that she has been able to pull out in recent years.
This therefore bothers my thinking as to why an already established and doing well musician like Mzbel would not concentrate on the musical art to bring out hit songs but would suddenly jump-start with movies, an industry saturated with talentless individuals.
According to what I have heard, Mzbel is currently on the set of Venus Movie Production where she is being featured in an upcoming movie with the working title “Single Six”.
Do you think Mzbel can make a good impact on our movie industry or she is just about to join the dozens of appalling Actresses parading our screens just because they have connections?
i fink i hav seen her in som movies before.her acting kills was horrible.she better stick to music nd give us som hits.
I remember she did some movie with Agya Koo and Maame Dorkono or so but let’s say that was not a major movie, this time she is going in with the big production houses. You are right, her acting was eye hurting in that movie. I can’t remember the movie’s title…

mmmmm, let the movie come out for us to watch. dont be too quick to judge. maybe she is improved, but i can see her mannerism as a good actor, stand to be corrected though.

I mean in my opinion, the industry is full of talentless individuals…Surely you can agree or disagree but certainly does not change my general perception about the Ghana movie industry

hell no, Miss Brizzle mos def cannot act.unless she’s taken some actin lessons and has improved but if it’s the same old acting dat i’ve seen in a couple of movies, then i beg she shouldn’t try at all. music u can’t make, now u wan act………ibeg your pardon.
Personally I don’t think she can do any worse than what is already presented to us. Mzbel go do your thing. These so called actors have nothing on you. If it’s talentless ppl you are meeting then you can either join them or beat them. BTW Chris, I am so in agreement with your statement about the over saturated industry with talentless actors
dis is not the first tyme she’s acted i also saw her in a movie wid the late suzzy williams n yea her acting sucked buh letz hope she does better dis tyme. i guess now our musicians r actin l like samini in The pool party.. BUH HE DID A GUD JOB IN DA MOVIE…
huh? Samini did well in pool party? i can even count the no. of times he spoke in the whole movie. he was just ok, but i dont think he did a gud job.
