Metro TV’s Sports Presenter, Christopher Opoku Launches Maiden Gospel Album ‘Oye Mame’!

blank

Who says anyone who does active sports, cannot get time to do other things, like doing music, preferably gospel to praise the Almighty God? Christopher Opoku can prove that person wrong.

History was made yesterday as Christopher Opoku, the celebrated sports journalist and Metro TV presenter became the first sports journalist to veer to music as he launched his ‘Oye Mame’, a nine track gospel album.

Sports and music are two different things, no gel whatsoever and Christopher concurs. “There isn’t much of a gel but just that both are part of me, in fact, music is something I started even before I got to sports, so its been a hidden love but its been the first love” he told GhanaCelebritis.Com after the launch.

Christopher Opoku has a giant-look-alike structure with a commanding, sometimes intimidating voice to match it. Truths hurt and people who say the truth are branded as ‘haters’ in this part of the world, but Chris has managed to stay resolute and do his work [running football commentary and hosting sports programs] with much alacrity by the special grace of God.

As a sports commentator and host of various sporting activities, Chris finds himself commenting on various issues concerning football and whenever his opinion is seeked, he makes sure he says whatever is on his mind rather objectively without fear or favour. His bold utterances have earned him as one of the unbiased presenters in Ghana who is not afraid to call a spade a spade!

Confidence Haugen

Many gathered at the Aphrodisiac Night Club yesterday to witness the beginning of the Big Brother Amplified as the housemates were introduced by the presenter IK and entered into the BBA house. It was already known to Ghanaians that Confidence Haugen, the CEO of the biggest night club in Ghana, Aphrodisiac Night Club is going to represent Ghana.

However, another housemate, self employed Alex Biney also entered the house to represent Ghana, consequently making Ghana’s housemates two. A lot is not known about the latter but the former’s introduction attracted cheers from the gathering showing solidarity with their compatriot.

Ghana’s previous housemates to the BBA over the years have been Sammy B who represented the country in the maiden edition as well as the last year’s All Stars edition.

Mimi Davilish, Kwaku T and Ras Wayo followed in that manner. Since all Ghana housemates have not gone close to winning the ultimate money, the question on everyone’s lips is: Is Confidence and [Alex] the best to represent the country? More importantly, this question should be meaningless if only Ghanaians can vote massively for those two to win the ultimate.

Motivational Message Of The Week: How To Achieve Excellence In What You Do…

blank

We all have one way or the other come across people who are achieving or have achieved excellence in what they do. Looking at the perfection others have attained in their respective fields mostly throws the question; how come they are achieving all these excellence and yet we cannot accomplish with joy the single task we have been focused on.

For a considerable number of years, I was a great believer of the famous but deceptive adage “Jack of all trades, a master of none”. But, recently, I have been forced to revisit this belief upon realizing the excellence certain individuals are achieving in all the trades they are engaged in. As a matter of fact, I have witnessed and have had the opportunity to meet several “Jacks of all trades, masters of all”.

How come these people are able to achieve excellence in all their trades and yet, the single one we focus on turns out to always be a disaster?blank
