GC Exclusive: Nadia Buari & Abdul Salam Mumuni Speak On Cannes Red Carpet Saga + John Dumelo Talks About The Whole Cannes Arrangement…

Majid Michel, Nadia Buari and Others On Red Carpet, Cannes

After yesterday’s post titled ‘Ghanaian Celebrities Were Not Recognised At Cannes Film Festival & Therefore No Red Carpet For Them, It Was All Lies…’  which highlighted on certain issues raised by Actress ‘Juliet Ibrahim’ with the visit our celebrities made to the recently ended Cannes Films Festival ( especially the Red Carpet Saga), I decided to contact the various Ghanaians who were in the red carpet photos to hear their side of the story.

In the photos (as seen above) were Nadia Buari, Majid Michel, Fred Nuamah, Alhaji Abdul Salam and Susan Peters. Automatically, I crossed out Mr. Fred Nuamah. As the Organizer of the trip and the person placed at the centre of these allegations; I was convinced beyond reasonable doubt that, he would definitely cook for me some sweet story to ‘exonerate’ himself.

I reached out to Nadia Buari with two principal questions in mind. Was there a real (not fake) red carpet and how did the whole red carpet walk come about since Juliet Ibrahim who was part of the delegation to France has stated inter alia that, the red carpet walk is extremely questionable.

Nadia Buari who was on set shooting a movie gave a good reception for the second time to GhanaCelebrities.Com. Trust me, I had prepared my screaming voice and was ready to scream if she had given me a shout. LOL.

On the issue of the red carpet walk at Cannes, Nadia emphatically stated that, it was a real red carpet and they actually did walk on it. Do you think this will be enough for me? I then asked, why then is Juliet Ibrahim, who was part of the delegation to France seems to suggest that the whole red carpet walk is a dust you guys are trying to throw at us.

“I cannot comment or react to Juliet’s allegation, all I can tell you is my own side of things and that is what I have said; the red carpet was the same one the other stars walked on so if that is fake, then I don’t know” she said.

Hmmmm, I started to give my head a scratch and then asked; how did the whole red carpet walk happen? Nadia Buari explained that, they had gone to a movie screening and after the movie; they were some how “miraculously” given the invitation and chance to grace the red carpet. Yes, the word is “miraculously”, she used it…

I wanted to find out more about where the red carpet was placed and the procedure one had to go through to secure a walk. She told me that, the red carpet was placed at the entrance of the auditorium where the movie screening took place.

I was like ‘Oh yeah’, so if it was placed as a path to the auditorium, that suggest reasonably that every person going into the auditorium for the screening will walk on the red carpet, isn’t it? I was beginning to use my law cross-examination of witness skills here…LOL

She answered by saying ‘”not every tom, dick and harry can walk on the carpet, you needed an accreditation, a pass or invitation and you have to go through a security screening so that is what happened”. Wow, this chick is being smart; I don’t think she answered my question, did she? She was beginning to sound like a politician to me, not an Actress.

She further added, “the red carpet was not any extra ordinary one, it was not the usual red carpet with glam and paparazzis, and it came abruptly to us so that even explains the way I was dressed”.

Enough of this red carpet BS I said in my mind, so who paid for your hotel while out there I asked? Nadia replied “I do not want to comment on that, you can ask the others who went, they may want to talk about that to you”.

After my telephone conversation with Nadia Buari, I phoned Majid Michel and guess what, this dude was sleeping. What has he been doing all night that he was sleeping during the day?

Anyway, I moved on to Abdul Salam who said, “all Juliet is saying is a lie. We had poor communication with Juliet while out there; she did not stay at our hotel and went to a different hotel with her sister and friend…”

Okay calm down Alhaji, can you punch the face of that Majid Michel dude to wake him up for me? Alhaji and Majid were together somewhere in Europe. Of course I did not tell him that, it was something I thought about saying to him.

“Who paid for your hotel whiles out there in France?”. He answered, “I paid it myself, we paid for our tickets so why should we expect someone else to pay for our hotels?

Come on Mr. Venus Production, I am the one asking the questions here and not you, LOL. I said goodbye to Alhaji and proceeded to tackle the lover boy ‘John Dumelo’.

You won’t believe this, John Dumelo has been sweet talking me that he will buy me a Range Rover and has even cashed the money, ready to get it for me. I now understand why all those chicks are claiming to have fallen for his trap. The guy got p.hd in sweet talking from the University of Desperate Girls, Achimota. (just kidding)

I BB John and asked “Massa John…so at Cannes, who paid for your hotel”.  He replied “Majid and I stayed in an apartment at Cannes, paid by Fred Nuamah. Fred told the ladies he’ll refund their hotel payments to them too”.

What about transportation arrangement, Was there any? John answered, “My apartment wasn’t far from the festival grounds at all. We walked but in case we were tired, we had a private cab”.

He added “Ps: the total money I took was 135,650 Euros. I nearly bought your Range Rover in Manaco!”. This dude and his mouth huh? So you have the full gist now, you have to do the judgement as to whether to go with Juliet Ibrahim or the others…
