Ghanaian-born Hollywood actors Kwame Boateng, Kofi Siriboe and Kwesi Boakye, also known as the K-3 Brothers will be the Children’s Village Ambassadors for a literacy program to support reading in the African American community on Saturday, June 25 at Los Angeles, California.

Although born in America to the same parents, each of these brothers bears a name that pays homage to their royal Ghanaian roots. The talented young siblings have already forged impressive acting careers in movies and television, and they continue to impress critics and fans alike with their dynamism.

They will be joined at the Children’s Village by other stars such as Miss Black California 2011, Constance Reese who will read from her favorite Dr. Seuss book; and Fresh Prince of Bel Air’s royalty Karen Parsons a.k.a Hilary Banks will also make a special appearance and read to the youth.

First lady, Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move” Campaign representatives will provide hula hoops and jump ropes to rally the youngsters together to join the fight against obesity. There will also be spectacular performances by The Dance Connection and Town Street Theater’s Youth Musical summer camp! Other exciting events include storytelling by SAG’s Book Pals, a magic show, and free giveaways from “Shrek the Musical” as well as Shrek & Fiona face painting!
