@Ama, thank you for your honest observation. I have been posting on this website for some time and I have made the same observation. Ghanaians have a dark evil side. I am Ghanaian, I live in the US and until a few years ago, I beleived most Ghanaians were good hearted people. After encountering some poisonous people of Ghanaian stock in the US, and I cannot begin to tell you how evil they were… I have changed my mind.One Nigerian man and this a grown man who was in grad school with us said that Nigerians are bad in the crooked sense but Ghanaians have a poisnous bitter heart. This was somebody who had been around us for a short time. There are bad nuts everywhere yes, but Ghanaians for a long time have pretended to be holier-than-thou.So people are shocked when they see certain things in us. We tend to see the bad in others and not in ourselves. We must change that.
About the artists…there is a reason why Genevieve and Nigerian acts are well respected around the world…because Nigerians respect and uplift their own. I go to a Nigerian church here in the US and whenever the older Naija ladies see me in church they always say eh my daughter how now? If you have a problem and they cannot help you they will try to say something positive like God is with you o…You will move foward….your best days are ahead of you etc. Try being around other Ghanaians and see if you will hear anything constructive that will uplift you . Your self esteem will even suffer around them even if you are Ghanaian. I am not trying to insult my own people. I am gradually becoming sick of how bitter and resentful we have become especially when we see other people succeeding.
