Sarkodie Disappoints Fans With Poor AZONTO Music Video + The Best Version Of The Azonto Song

blank

Fans of one of the fastest rappers in Ghana ‘Sarkodie’ seem to be very disappointed with the music video for the hit AZONTO song-‘U Go Kill Me’.

To many, the AZONTO song is by far Sarkodie’s greatest hit as it has quickly gotten to far places, attracting numerous airplays and yet the music video was not given the necessary master touch.

Comments by fans on youtube and other social media networks indicate that, they were expecting something classic with diverse features of Azonto dances.

Personally, I find the video more westernized than ‘Azontonized’. I love the song but I cannot say the same for the video…

On the flip side, I am feeling a different version of Sarkodie’s Azonto track and I have decided to share it with GhanaCelebrities.Com’s Azonto music lovers. The lyrics are damn serious and funny! Love it!

What do you think?

  1. I think after song was released allot of people where where rocking it even had allot of hits on YouTube and other social media website but when the news broke out that he was going to drop a video next to it there was a lot of expectations but yeah it’s a big flop I do agree with you adwoa it’s not creative at all I guess whoever produce it had too much USA hype in his mind

  2. I think the video is poorly made and definitely BORING. He shouldn’t have bothered at all with this BORING video. It does no justice to the song.

  3. Any person with indepth of music videos will know that the world have moved 4rm videos directly depicting the lyrics of a song to creativity.Ask the likes of abraham ohene gyan,b.b menson and geo,and they’ll tell u such “ahenfie”productions no more exist.EXPLORE;GHANAIANS!!

    • @Saint skito, really?since when?Well, if u ask me I will say that shouldnt have been the case with this particular music video. The reason is because azonto is more like a new fever in Gh. now and its going to be a part of Gh. music/dance history someday. So then a music video depicting the song should have been made to suit the concept.Afterall, they claimed azonto is athe new dance in town, so then what sense would it make if a viewer cannot relate a music video to its lyrics.Maybe sarkodie and his crew should have waited for ghanaians to adjust with the new concept u claim the world has moved to so they could come up with this video.

  4. WHAT?? PHAMOUS PHILMS produced this one? gosh, this is their worst video ever…and to think that it is for one of the best hits for the year. I think Sarkodie deserves a refund or phamous philms should do a completely new video. Totally disappointing. What kind of lazy azonto dance was that? Even I could do a better azonto. lol. This is a complete flop on all levels. Did they see the azonto in Eduwojie’s yenko nkoa video? ahhh

  5. The song has created so much hype, and the dance keeps evolving over time. I don’t blame anyone who doesn’t like the video because lots of azonto lovers had much expectations for this since it took so long. But hey, I like Dee-Moneey’s KpoKpo O Body video….

  7. ABSOLUTE RUBBISH.
Who said I need to know video editting before I can say if a video is good or not? We are the viewers…and if it doesn’t appeal to us, then it is no good. period. aden na ebi mo koraa ye hyee hyee saa? What has video editting got to do with being able to appreciate a good music video? nsem fonn kwa!

    • @Fii, it is so clear that you know nothing about video EDITING, you blank head

you are talking about creativity and beauty of a video but it all depends upon the editing, so it is for movies. It is the deiting that makes a movie nice. So take your too-known sorry ass out of here you pumpkin head.

      • Sarkodie could have tried something simple, i watched Pono and Efya’s good morning and i was like “this is what i call a good video”………………..a big sarko’s fan but i say this is not good and hey guys cut the crap about Editing because the final evaluation of art is when it is appealing to the viewers eye, it doesn’t matter hw much resource you put in your art if it is not appreciated, then is not good enough. I say any one who says the video could have been good if well edited don’t know shit about creativity, because the the background, the costume , the colour choice and the energy were all messed up.

  9. The Music is called “U go Kill me” not Azonto. so don’t blame him for not bringing most of the so called Azonto dance in there. is a great video, and i would like to see someone come close or do a better one than it. -“One Sako”

  11. This song is hot here in Wash D.C in the clubs, except the video is quite disappointing, Sarkodie became too cocky b4 he’s become really famous. He could have really rocked the video if he had included the high school kids on Youtube videos since he can’t dance. Im sure editing a video isn’t tht complicated, otherwise we would b seeing a lot of junk like he created.#zimbabwean.in.wash.d.c
