  1. Asomoah Gyan paaa… Why? He needs to realise that Ghanaians actually OVERLY LOVE him. Even non-Ghanaians love him. Thats why we get upset when we feel he underperforms. Don’t retire Asamoah.

    • @CHALE, U could be rite thou but to some extent we should realise he is only human and have a limit to what he can take. But then is he resigning because of the insults people were throwing at him or what?It will better if he comes out himself to confirm it.One thing he must realise about human beings, is that, the good things you do are not remembered as the bad ones. .If it was God’s will for Asamoah to score that goal it would have surely come to pass.Everything happens for a reason.Asamoah, be a strong man and keep ur head up cuz remember you gain more than ur fans do in that career.

  2. i support him totally ghanaians overlove him my ass,we are very ungratefull this guy plays and score wonderful goals to his nation but what do we see today ghanaians can go to extend to threat him and his family why bcos of football nobody is saying we should not critizise him but to insult not only him but his mother is very bad just bcos of football so for personally he should concentrate on his professional football!!!

  3. He can retire all he wants. I was one of the few who actually didn’t blame asamoah gyan for our lose to zambia but with this decision I’m totally angry now. What did he expect? To miss a crucial penalty, come back to hear ghanaians singing praises? If his sole aim of taking a break is for people to feel sorry for him then wabo-lose

  4. now the majority of ghanaians got what they want.. talk to damn much, now the blackstars will rely on prince tagoe lol .. asamoah, essien, prince-boateng, all left because ghanaians talk to damn much.. soon it will be the goalie(kwartey) when he realizes ghanaians start to show him their true colors. mensah will retire soon… so the blackstars wont be the blackstars anymore.. and i would of left the blackstars quicker, asamoah keep ur head up and stay stressfree

    • @Kwaku MANU,lol u guyz r funny tho..im not saying the insult warrant on Gyan is fair but looking at things big players lyk Rooney,Messi,C.Ronaldo,n others came under a very heavy criticism by their nations when their performers came under par and this guyz took it in good faith n rebound back. It’s only in ghana that if players r criticize they fell the need to retire.players uve mention essien(altho i dont think he left,it is bcos of his injury) we find a perfect replacement for him in Badu  likewise KPB.guyz u need to remember we are a great football nation and players  will go and come we cant keep entertaining mediocrity.Although im not happy abt Gyan retiring we need to move on with our football and stop condemning Ghanaian as ungrateful aint we the ones that pay this same players? Shouldn’t our voice be heard  as we demand the best from “our professional players”? I dont condone insult but a good biblical criticism.

  6. what in the world am i hearing, babyjet dropping out of the squard what for. why are ghanains sooo ungreatefull, why do people talk like they have never made mistakes in their life, i am sure we’ve all made worse mistakes than babyjet missing a pentalty. Yes we all know that the same mistake took place at the world, SO WHAT!! happened again at the african cup of nation Again WHO CARE?? we all make mistakes so that we can learn from them and change few things next tym. congratulation FANS u got what u wanted isnt it. i am sure u are all happy. this is why Ghana cant move forward, always criticise on the little mistakes that are made the well known people. its about time that Ghanaians should start appreciating what they have and stop wishing for what it is not there. Ather all things happens for a reason.

    • @babyjet come back, THANK YOU very much..You make a whole lot of sense.. Is Ghana worth dying for? This guy runs to Ghana whenever Black Stars have to play. But all we can do is sit back and be coaches behind our televisions…..Good luck in what ever you do  Baby Jet..

  10. to be honest with you all. i think is ghanas lost becuase he is a great player and and he was part of the reason why ghana made it that far during the world cup so if he made couple of mistakes we souldnt attack him as the way some people have. we all make mistakes some time so cut the guy some slacks. and give him credict instaed of blaming him.

  11. This guy is not a real striker, let him go, I am thinking Ghana, We have serious young strikers who are not being given the chance. Gyan is just okay. In front of goal any striker will one day score a goal. If out of every 12 misses he scores one good goal does that mean he is good? He has taken us out of major competition it is about time he takes himself out. Just go and please don’t change your mind. You did not need to announce it. Clear off
