Vivian Jill Added To The Cannes Film Festival Trip List?

blank
If info picked up by GhanaCelebrities.Com is anything to go by, then, Twi speaking actress Vivian Jill is on her way to join A-list of Ghanaian movie actors/actresses expected to grace the 65th Cannes Film Festival in France.
Following GhanaCelebrities.Com’s release of the final list of actors/actress to represent at the festival, the organisers of the Ghana Movie Awards were subjected to criticism for their inability to put in the final list a Twi speaking actor or actress.
According to our source, out of the many names submitted to Cannes office by the Ghana Movie Awards for review, only 11 were picked. The 11 are Jackie Appiah, Nadia Buari, Yvonne Nelson, Yvonne Okoro, Majid Michel, John Dumelo, Martha Ankomah, Chris Attoh, Van Vicker, Prince David Osei and Juliet Ibrahim.
Consciously missing in the list are Twi speaking actors. There has been hullabaloo about the quality of movies produced in Twi but when the Ghana movie industry was in its deep mess and need attention to resurrect, it was the Twi speakers who offered the needed help to put the industry on its current pedestal.
It appears that after several public outcries and criticisms, the organisers have rescinded their decision with the inclusion of Vivian Jill, who is now a force to reckon with in the Twi speaking movie industry.
Calls placed to Vivian Jill to either confirm or deny this has proved futile -her phone has been off for some time.

    • @Amoah, now my comment after reading… These GH movie people are full of SHIT… “she’s not picking up her phone” Just because you speak English in GH movies dose not make you a better person. This GH English movies are just all cheap copy cats. At least the Twi movie makers are original just luck of quality. You neglect your
language & culture, you become a slave.

  2. I belive Nana Ama Mcbrown, Agya Koo and other people have been holding the fort for years even before Vivian Jill came on the scene, it is therefore not fair to them that the later should be chosen instead of any of them…come on!

  4. i think the selection is good for the twi movies…AFRICANS/GHANAIANS like favoritism too much…vivian jill can equally speak good twi and act even better…it doesn’t matter who came to the industry first…and as for the english, we all know vivian speaks better english with no FAKE ACCENT LOL, unlike nana ama mcbrown…SO ORGANIZERS, IF THIS IS TRUE, THEN THE SELECTION IS GOOD
