‘It Runs In The Family’ Season 2 Rounds Up Thursday On Visat1

blankViasat 1 Television will draw down the curtains on one of its most-watched local television programs, ‘It Runs in the Family’ on Thursday May 24.
The show which made its debut in September 2011 is produced by Viasat 1’s sister company Modern African Productions (MAP) and hosted by standup comedian Derrick Kwabena Bonney AKA DKB or Madam Kpelems.
‘It Runs in the Family’ is a family-oriented game show which involves two set of families going head to head to compete for a grand prize. Players are asked to guess responses given by a street survey.
There are three rounds, each of which sees one player from each team eliminated, leaving just one from each family to compete for the grand prize in the final round. Individual prizes are awarded to high scoring players.
Season two of ‘It runs in the Family’ saw the introduction of new segments like ‘Ghana, My Motherland’. This segment basically sought to find which family knows more about Ghana; while the ‘Lyrics and Songs’ segment involved musical knowledge.
The show also introduced ‘Word Games’, where families were supposed to form as many words as they could with an alphabet. Other segments include Say What and Grand Eliminator.
After a successful season two, you can only look forward to the next. Meanwhile, the host, DKB, is currently in the Big Brother Africa Stargame competition. He is currently head of house in the Upville house, and on his return, will begin recording for season
three.
