I have not forgotten that this is an Entertainment platform but then, politics affect every corner of our lives including Entertainment.

Even though I love politics, I have always been clear that I hate its accompanying anti intellectual culture that has engulfed the politics of Ghana-insults, propaganda and unachievable promises.

Every election year, political parties in their bid to win our votes throw dust, lies and promises they have no intent to fulfil at us.

Among themselves, they corner, fight, abuse and accuse each other of failing the people, stealing from the masses and driving their whole political agenda on propaganda.

The fact remains that, these political parties are the same and they all practise the very things they accuse each other of doing.

The most pathetic part of the political fight is that, it is the ordinary citizens who suffer the most.

Ghanaians are facing unimaginable economic hardship, the cedi is worth nothing compared to other currencies, ECG cannot even provide uninterrupted electricity, unemployment is at a towering level, healthcare is excessively expensive, salaries only buy dwarfs (nothing), etc…

The lives of ordinary Ghanaians keep getting worse with time and yet, they have to vote every 4 years to choose a Messiah who would come and save them based on promises and failed track records.

These Messiahs come and deliver nothing…That alone is heartbreaking and difficult to endure but then, another 4 years come and Ghanaians have to go to the polls again…

Who is worth our precious votes since all the paraded Messiahs would come and surely disappoint.  You can call me a sceptic even though history shows that these political Messiahs have never delivered.

With all these laid before us, we must still vote come December 7 and what most Ghanaians do is that, they vote for the lesser evil among the Messiahs…Forget their promises and strategic policies because they’ve never honoured them.
