Tonight (10/11/2012), Miss Stephanie Karikari’s two years reign as Miss Ghana will come to an end as a new queen is set to take over the crown from her to become the new face of Miss Ghana 2012.
Stephanie picked the crown as Miss Ghana two years ago in 2010 but due to changing of the rights of the pageant from Media Whizz Kids to Exclusive Events Ghana, 2011’s edition was cancelled to give the company ample time to finally kick off.
This year, the pageant can simply be described as ‘rejuvenated’ with wonderful experiences for all the ladies. Any of the ladies who wins the crown will win a crown that she needs to be proud of due to the amount of work that has gone into this year’s pageant.
Also the mouth watering prizes for the ladies have put a pressure on the show which ends tonight at the Accra International Conference Centre.
Having being part of a team that visited some of the sponsors of the pageant, I can confidently say that, the ladies are well poised for tonight. And for the judges I don’t pity them because they will have a tough time making that vital decision tonight.
The 18 ladies vying for Miss Ghana 2012 are Abena, Afriyie, Ayisha, Billey, Oforiwaa, Georgette, Gifty, Jennifer, Joan, Josephine, Naa, Nadia, Ohemaa, Precious, Roseline, Rufina, Sabina and Stephanie.
Before any of the ladies above wins the crown, you will get to be entertained by award-winning Nigerian star Asa, Ghana’s finest-Efya, Sherifa Gunu, Gyedu Blay Ambolley with Kwesi Kyei Darkwah (KKD) and Anita Erskine as MCs.
