OBS: Africa’s 40 Richest, No Ghanaian In There…

blank

Where are all the loud mouth rich Ghanaians? According to Forbes, the names below are the 40 richest people in Africa.  The list has no Ghanaian in there…

Looking at the net worth (in millions) listed alongside some of these people, I am confident that I know Ghanaians who have more than that…Maybe they just don’t want to be noticed.

Don’t we have any Ghanaian with a net worth of over 400 millions dollars? Come on…

Also, there is only one woman in there. WHAT? Haven’t African women heard of what their American and European counterparts do? Marry the rich men, stay with them for what is legally accepted as ‘considerable length’ and divorce them-taking home more than half of their wealth.

Anyway, check the list below…What do you think?

  1. Some of these men (1-16) have their net worth in billions and not millions as stated here. Very interesting. It goes to show that politicians are not only those who can aquire riches by looting state money. These are hard-working everyday men who earned their riches the right way.

  2. I don’t know if this list is accurate or not  but Addo kufour was said to be worth about 2.5 billion dollars and his name isn’t there???

    • @Riddle,  Lets stop with this Addo Kufuor nonsense. Just because some idiot started this myth that the man had amassed billions while supposedly amassing military equipment procument kickbacks illegally as Defense Minister it is now apparently considered the gospel truth. That’s the problem with us Ghanaians…idle talk and nothing tangible to validate and substantiate our ridiculous claims.  If you can’t amass your  wealth out in the open thru legal (not corruptible) means for to see then you should  not be mentioned.

  3. wtf???? is dat for real……11 out of forty thats like 30% damn neways i know some Ghanaians that are richer than that though but they are politicians so am guessing these are just business men right

    • @kwabena, if you talking about politician i bet you all Nigerians governors and senators will occupy every where here, please try to as Chief James Onanefe Ibori, the former governor of delta state

  4. theophilus danjuma was once chief of army staff and later a minister. Thought people who hav been in government shouldn’t be included (though i know he is now into oil business). Who knows the money he used to start his oil company might hav been looted funds during the days of mindless military embezzlements. If he is on the list then babangida and abdulsalami abubakar should also be, babangida might even topple dangote at the top sef.

  5. Let’s face it GHANAIANS ARE POOR…U dont need Forbes to tell u that. How many Ghanaian owned banks are operating in other African countries? Ghanaian cities are awashed with Nigerian and South African owned banks and businesses.
All the Ghanaian authorities are interested in is chasing away foreign petty traders in their localities so that their narrow minded Ghanaian populace will move in and take over such abandoned petty businesses,

    • @Nword have u seen the so called HDI. Since nigerians have a high number of businesse it does not mean that nigeria is developed. Check the living standardof Ghana and Nigeria and tell me if Ghanians are poor
      How many….
….. nigerians have acces to drinking water?
……nigerian kids can go to school?
      ……how is the literacy rate?
Compare it to Ghana. I guess u are one of those nigerians who hate Ghanians to the fullest but yet he wants Ghanians to lick his p…ssy

      • @kokonte, mugu, do you have water, all Nigerians who are living in Ghana are living fine more than the Ghanians ,

Note your government are not paying us, and we only do international business

        Reply
      • @kokonte, You must understand that the population of Nigeria is more than Ghana 4 times and that is why the poverty level in Nigeria is also on high rate. If you calculate it my friend, the rich and educated Nigerians will be more than your population in Ghana. That’s the fact.
