OBS: Nollywood Star Nse Ikpe-Etim Engaged, What Is Happening To Our Ghanaian Stars?

Nse Ikpe-Etim Engaged

Ini Edo got married, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde is married, even controversial Mercy Johnson has gotten married and today, reports have it that Nollywood Star Nse Ikpe-Etim has also been engaged…Very exciting! 🙂

When it comes to finding long term partners, it seems the top Nollywood stars are way ahead of their Ghallywood (Ghanaian) counterparts…

For some reason, most of our top stars have passed the ‘African marriage age’ and yet they cannot even boast of a reliable boyfriend, let alone a fiance.

Whatever it is, it is the dream of every woman to be engaged or be married one day and I pray that our stars get to  check themselves this New Year so to be able to move into that direction…

Anyway, congrats to Nse Ikpe-Etim!

  1. What is this article for??Isn’t God the one that gives marriage.Since u are comparing, try comparing the rate of divorce among those nollywood stars to their ghanaian peers and u will understand most of them marry cos is fashionable to have a lavish wedding and that is why they are always divorcing. When the right person comes our stars will get married and who says everyone will get married in this world.

    • @Frog, Yes marriage is from God but can’t you see that the ones with good characters are married and there is nothing like divorce? God will give you a good man or woman but if you have a very bad attitude it wouldn’t last. It is not good to compare nor rush but hey, we have to think twice.

  2. Or maybe our Ghanaian men are not as committed as the Nigerian men. Remember, not many women would ever refuse to get married when the offer is made to them! Our men enjoy the free ride because they can have tons of women at any given time, so why would they want to get married to one person? Our women also contribute to the behavior of some of our men. They avail themselves to men simply because of money. Ma woboa nye den wai! Let’s be respected and valued as women, for only then will men value and respect us.

  4. Congrats to the Nollywood stars on their relationship achievements. Love and marriage is something that can never be rushed, choosing a life long partner is no joke. To all Ghallywood, please take your time, and remember marriage is a lifetime commitment.

  5. What sort of stupid article is this? Couldn’t the writer have congratulated Nse without the comparison? No two ppeople are the samesame.Do you have any idea the kind of pressure mounted on ordinary girls to marry at a certain age how much more celebs?  you didn’t have to  add that pressure.what have uu beebeen smoking ? Do you think husbands are sold on  the market? Ofui!

  6. Is there an age limit for getting married? Let them be! When the right time comes they will marry and whats the point of rushing into it and divorcing too soon? Allow them to take their time and search for the right person. Congrats to Nse!

  7. Dear GC staff its obvoius you did not want to shoot your argument in the leg that is why you did not say most women dream of getting married or engaged( you said it is the dream of every woman to …….). Marriage is ones choice and i have come to understand that it is disastrous to marry and be unhappy or find out one does not love ones partner( am married myself). now women have found security not in marriage- dependance on man for wealth but in education, jobs etc so is the same for the GH celebrity. lets therefore congratulate those who are marrying and encourage those who are scared.

  8. I see my comment was deleted because stated that the celebs he was comparing our Ghanaian celebs to were all second wives or married to other peoples husbands. you can dish out critisism but take some back right??? Pushing celebs to marry and fool just to be counted among women?
