Do You Know That Transition From In-Love To Long-Term Relationship Takes ’22 Meals Out, Two Holidays, £3,000 In Gifts And Several Major Arguments’?

Chaps, if you’ve just found your ideal woman, read on – but be warned: This advice is going to cost you.

For romance to blossom into a long-term relationship you have to have 22 meals out together, two holidays and spend at least £3,000 on gifts, according to researchers.

And if that sounds like hard work, you also have to weather seven major arguments to go the distance as a couple.

Perhaps this is why the 2011 census found the number of single adults in the UK rose by more than 3million to 15.7million, while the number of married couples hardly moved at all in ten years.

The statistics were mirrored in the research by lifestyle advice site Socked.co.uk.

Managing director Mark Hall said that while singletons are now able to meet online, as well as through old fashioned means, such as in bars or through mutual friends, the disposable nature of society seems to be catching, with people investing less time – and hard cash – in love.

Mr Hall said: ‘We’ve sat down and done the actual maths and if we’re correct, it’s a wonder that the human race has actually managed to survive this long.

‘By our calculations, only about 3 per cent of new relationships will last long enough to get the couple up the aisle or into the registry office.

‘This is a long, risky process that requires skill, judgment and tact.

HUMAN TRAFFICKING IN GHANA: Now Being Conducted In A More Sophisticated Way Through Radio Stations And Churches…Are Our Leaders To Be Blamed?

human-trafficking in Ghana

Unemployed graduates and some youth who are desperate to work to earn a living have fallen victims to the scheme of some scrupulous and greedy people in Ghana who enrich themselves by preying on the poor.

These greedy people have sophisticated methods of recruiting people and trafficking them to work as prostitutes and slaves in other countries.  These recruiters openly recruit their victims with no fear of being arrested because of the nature of the approach.

The last time I checked, it was illegal to practice human trafficking, and the world frowns on it.  People who are caught in this type of act could face some jail term.  But the threat of jail time doesn’t t curtail these traffickers to slow down by any means.

If anything at all, they have become rather aggressive in finding different ways to recruit and traffic their victims. In Ghana for instance, the new way of trafficking young people outside the country is to tell them that they are being sent out to work as store clerks, domestic servants or butchers in the Arab countries.

Apparently, the announcements for recruitments are made through radio stations and churches with permission from the church leaders. As such, most of these venerable young people tend to believe everything that is being said.

They are made to pay huge sums of money in order to make these trips. Some pay as much as 4,000 ghc, which is equivalent of about $2, 170. Some of these youth end up in Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

REJECTED OR DUMPED: Now It Is Time For Me To Go Back To The One I Don’t Love

Black woman

Let’s face it. We have all been one way or the other been rejected by someone we love or had a crush on.  Whether it is a boy/girlfriend relationship or life partnership, what do you do when you are rejected by someone you love?

Most women or men after having been dumped or rejected by someone they really admired or desired, quickly out of impulse go in for the next best in line.

I had a friend who hated this guy so much that she didn’t even wanted to be seen talking to this guy.  For years, she had just refused to even listen to what this guy had to say.  And this guy was a very attractive, intelligent and a successful person, yet my friend wanted nothing to do him.

She was in love and desired someone who didn’t even know she existed.  She did everything in her power to create attention and to draw this guy’s mind to her, but he didn’t even recognize her.

Finally, he heard that the guy got married.  Disappointed and broken-hearted, my friend began to show interest in the other guy.  The same guy she has rejected for close to over two years. It was obvious that she didn’t like this guy let alone to love him.

She showed interest only to make up for what she lost.  Unfortunately, the poor guy was head over hills in love with her.  It is so unfair to this guy and very selfish on my friend’s part.
