If you watched the red carpet of the Oscars 2013 or have gone through the photos, there was no way you could have missed how elegantly Naomi Harris (Bond girl from Sky Fall) dressed.
The amazing news about her dress at last night’s Oscars is that, it was designed by Ghana-born fashion student-Michael Badger.
If you do know who Naomie Harris is or have not watched Sky Fall, let me tell you how big she is..She played Miss Moneypenny, a gun-toting MI6 agent alongside Daniel Craig in Sky Fall and the movie was nominated for five Academy Awards (won 2 Best Sound Editing and Original Song)…

Thought Naomie Harris looked glamorous in the dress, it may shock you to know that the dress was made from recycled materials.The golden outfit was made from organic silk crepe de chine with recycled zippers. The bodice featured vintage glass beads and old chocolate wrappers and the design was said to be inspired by volcanos and lava.
Yahoo claims she nearly had a wardrobe malfunction with the dress, yet still we love it and congrats to the young Ghanaian fashion student.
Skyfall star Naomie Harris chanced a very embarrassing wardrobe malfunction at last night’s Oscars when she opted for this gown featuring a hip to ankle slit.
Talk about risky! The lady is pretty much one step too far from a cringe pants flash.
However, Naomie managed to keep her modestly very much covered as she walked the red carpet.
What a professional, eh?!
And to be honest if we had a pair of pins like Naomie’s we would probably be pretty keen on getting them out too.

Wow well done to Michael Badger, you’ve done Ghana proud. & Naomi Harris looks good. But these are the double standards I always talk about. Her attire has been described by the writer as ‘glamorous’ (although other websites like Dailymail etc. complained that the dress was too risqué). However, if any of our Ghanaian celebs eg. mzbel, raquel, nana ama mcbrown etc. had worn a dress like Naomi’s, several articles would have been written about how indecent she is & everyone would have condemned her.

@NYC, I don’t get your point, maybe you might have to explain it to me. I said that when a Ghanaian celebrity shows off her body, everyone condemns her for being indecent & immoral. But these same people praise Western celebrities who wear skimpy clothes. What has ‘working on their body’ got to do with it? So, because the Western celebrities ‘work on their bodies’, they’re not indecent/ immoral when they wear skimpy clothes but our celebrities who wear skimpy clothes are indecent? Really? I don’t get your argument.

@NYC, and since you wrote two comments let me also write two responses. You seem to imply that Ghanaian female celebs don’t have banging bodies like Western celebs (eg. Naomi Harris) because they don’t ‘work on their bodies’. That is untrue. Western celebs look as good as they do because they have millions of dollars & so employ personal trainers, doctors, nutritionists, chefs, beauticians & stylists who work around the clock to make sure they have the perfect body you see. It has been documented that several of them have undergone plastic surgery. That is the truth behind their looks.
