More Info On John Dumelo & Majid Michel City Of Philadelphia Honour + Exclusive Photos

Last week, GhanaCelebrities.Com reported that, Ghanaian star actors Majid Michel and John Dumelo have been honoured by the City of Philadelphia.

They were presented with Citation for their outstanding contribution to the film and television  industry on Wednesday at Philadelphia City Hall.

What we did not mention is that, they are the first African actors to receive this great honour. Previous recipients of similar citations have been Sylvester Stallone for his achievements in Film and Azuma Nelson for excelling in his boxing carrier.

Some of the dignitaries at the occasion were Honorable Jannie L. Blackwell, City Council of Philadelphia, Hon. Stanley L. Straughter, Chairman of the Mayor’s Commission on African and Caribbean Immigrant Affairs, and Honorary,Consul The Republic of Guinea and Dr. Samuel Quartey, Chairman/African Caribbean Business Council, Imhotep Charter School & Ga Dangme Foundation.

Earlier on in the day they met a group of students from Imhotep Institute Charter High School where they both mentored the students.

John Dumelo And Majid Michel took turns in advising the theater and arts students and also answered several questions from them.

They were again honoured by the school for their visit and also taking time off their busy schedule to come over. The late president John Evans Atta Mills was the last high profile personality to visit the school.
