New franchise owners and organizers of the Miss Ghana beauty pageant, Exclusive Events Ghana has started a spirited auditions in Accra for Miss Ghana 2013.

Due to lack of time as preparation is underway for the past winner in the 2012 competition, Miss Naa Shooter to represent the country at the Miss World finals, the organizers said this year will only have one grand audition. And the format is still consistent with the general theme of taking the event closer to the doorstep of the bold, beautiful, eloquent and intelligent Ghanaian lady.

The three-day auditions kicked off yesterday-Thursday May 30 and expected to come to an end on Saturday June 1. Hundreds of young, beautiful and intelligent Ghanaian ladies are expected to grace the audition as opportunity of a lifetime awaits them.

GhanaCelebrities.Com made a quick dash to the venue of the auditions, Travel Express Hotel, near Gulf House, Tetteh Quarshie Interchange in Accra where we met several ladies who were ready to face the judges and know their feat after.

Twenty-two year old student of University of Ghana, Miss Margaret Kumah Mintah, studying Sociology and Linguists who had just been vigorously auditioned told GhanaCelebrities.Com her general impression about the auditions and what she thinks of the judges.

“It was alright, initially I was a bit tensed and nervous but I think the judges are okay and good. They actually make you feel alright.” She said.

On what the judges expected from each lady, she said: “I think they were looking out for confidence and someone who knows what she’s talking about, someone who is smart, confident and intelligent.”

Miss Mintah is confident and certain of going through to the next stage of the audition because she was able to answer the questions she was asked to the best of her knowledge.

The next to speak to GhanaCelebrities.Com before her audition was, Miss Nadia Ofori Gyimah, a 19-year old Communication Design student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

The obviously anxious but nervous Nadia told GhanaCelebrities.Com: “Right now I’m tensed but then what I have learnt is that in everything I should be confident and be myself.”

She is however abreast with what the judges will be expecting of her on her turn to be auditioned. “I know they will be expecting me to be confident, eloquent, to be smart, have the height, be creative and be beautiful.”

The ladies are being judged by Steven Adusei, Professional Photographer, Shika Obeng, a Cosmetologist, award winning actor Van Vicker and Inna Maryam Patty, a former Miss Ghana and CEO, Exclusive Events Ghana, organizers of the event.

The auditions continue today and Saturday. Audition Forms are selling at Fidelity Bank branches, nationwide for 50 Cedis. Alternatively, applicants can purchase forms at the audition grounds.
