No Egos At Play In My Marriage – Beverly Afaglo Baah

Award winning Ghanaian actress Beverly Afaglo Baah has refute claims that because her husband is a very popular music star and a leader of a successful music group, there will be egos at play in her marriage life.

“There is nothing like an ego or a star in my marriage.”

Beverly Afaglo, a Ghanaian movie star is married to musician-Eugene Baah alias Praye Ho Ne Ho, the leader of Hip Life group, Praye. It is expected that when two celebrities tie the knot, egos come to play.

For the fact that, they are both in the public domain and known figures in Ghana, people are under the impression that, their egos makes it difficult for them to have a fruitful marriage life.

After a year of marriage, Beverly was blessed with a baby girl. Sharing a bit of her family life and how she’s able to joggle between her job as a new mother and hardworking actress, she told Viasat1’s One Show that due to an extensive counseling she and her husband went through before their marriage, they are able to put their egos in check and live as a normal couple.

Answering a question relating to how she and the husband are able to deal with their egos in the house. She said;

“I don’t think there is any ego [in my marriage]; trust me, because we went through counseling two years before we got married.” She said confidently.

She continued with an advice to women to be submissive to their husbands as the Holy book preaches. She added that, no matter how powerful a woman is; she’s just a wife, therefore she must kowtow to her husband and give him the needed respect as the man of the house.

“Going through counseling and you being a Christian, you should know that as a woman you should be submissive to your husband, whoever you are, whatever you bring to the table, you are a wife.

She said her popularly is not at par with that of her husband and conceded that, when they started dating, it was his popularity that helped her career.
