Miss Ghana 2012-Naa Okailey Shooter In USA (6)

Miss Ghana 2012 Naa Okailey Shooter is currently on holidays in the United States of America for a break well deserved.

Miss Shooter, who helped out as guest-judge at the 2013 Miss Ghana auditions, has been cooling off, touring some sites and has so far met some wonderful people.

The much-needed personal holidays is also coming after months of active involvement in her infant maternal mortality project, which saw her go up and down the Northern Region of Ghana, where she is helping to bring relief to hundreds of households.

She is expected back home in the coming days, just in time for the Miss Ghana 2013 finals in July and also to prepare for the Miss World event.

In a related development, contestants of this year’s event have been going through mentoring, lifestyle and coaching sessions at the hands of trained instructors.

This year’s finals will be held in July.

      • @alix, she’s a naturally beautiful lady. Even with very light makeup and braids, look how good she looks! No need for any excessive weave or huhudious makeup. Gorgeous lady!

        • @Ama, plz i think you know th meaning of beautiful and you used to see beautiful one but we in america will never take that one as beautiful ok she is beautiful not for miss ghana and may be you are more beautiful then her the way i see you look

          • @alix, ama so far if i will come to ghana to got married did you go to present her to me as a beautiful lady
if that will happen i would go back to new york on the next flight ama ham and cheese never have the same taste ama im dying for african lady but whit a little beauty and beautiful curb

          • @alix,lol, I live in the US (san Francisco) and I think even if she were here she’d be considered beautiful! I think she has a pretty face & nice trim figure. Maybe, some people in Gh prefer more curvaceous ladies? But I think she’s very pretty. Anyway, beauty is in the eye of the beholder so maybe what we find beautiful might not be beautiful to you. Cheers 🙂

          • @Ama, well said ma sister, Now thickness is not what we need in life. Am about 10lbs thicker than her and the kind of compliment i get at work makes me wanna remain like that forever. Only my mom and dad has been on ma neck about this weight gain thing but heck no is not happening. Alix and johjoh has the african mentality as our parents. The girl’s weight is just perfect for a model.

          • @Jeanie, dont got offended i will like to be an african and live in africa to teach those man how to treat a wife a wife in africa is equal as husband slave bcz where im from the man dont have a house and all on the house it is for the wife have free speech so far i feel hurt for those lady
jeanie im better fermer ma bouche meaning

          • @Jeanie, Jeanie, I agree with you! You see, what is killing us, as Africans is the desire for ‘thickness’. In fact, it’s not just killing Africans but all black people over the world. I’m in the US & here, black people are disproportionately overweight. What we call ‘thickness’ is usually an overweight woman whose weight is proportionally distributed. It seems that for us black people, we don’t care even if a woman is overweight (or her muscles are not toned etc.), so long as her tummy is relatively flat in proportion to her body, we’re happy. That’s not good enough. I will advice you to ignore all of them & maintain your figure. I’m overweight & working very hard to shed the weight although my boyfriend & other people are worried that I’ll lose my big but & hips. In my opinion, being healthy, is much more better & beautiful than having a big behind or large chest.

          • @Ama, ok let make it short lose your beautiful butt and hips you will look like a flat bag i think you know how a beautiful mango fruit look like after you suck the juice your boy friend will junk you like an old car but princess for me my wife to be must be fit to enjoy me as a husband princess have hungry every where on the world alix dont go pick up one to be his future wife im not ready to be a widow man how beautiful it is when you look at your wife and see how
beautiful she is and well done and when you wake on the morning and see your beautiful
wife who lay down as an angel i will advice you to ignore all of them who send you to lose weight you know what kind of mother in law african have b care full princess let them
            worried

          • @Ama, lol Is hard to loose, i am on a 12hours shift on a flexible job though, but guess what i eat from 8am to 7pm and still the same figure. Don’t even know what to do to gain weight anymore. even banku and tilapia couldn’t do the job. I tried and it didn’t work so I’ve given up. I know what you mean, Our nursing director is going through same weight issues right now. She’s a black woman and has 3children, she always compliments me on the way i look but my parents never appreciate my model figure. Isn’t it too sad for Africans to feel slim ones lack so much?

          • @Jeanie, my new priceless princess your sweet parent give to you birth but
they never appreciate your model figure just look at the woman who have three
kids she always complimented you why bcz you look good leave your life
for your man if he dont love you the way you are give him a 3/4 meaning send
him to hell god will give you one who love you more then him i dont see
your pic tbut he way you talk you are beautiful and look good

          • @Jeanie, please, ignore them and DON’T GAIN WEIGHT! Trust me, it’s so so hard to lose it once you gain. You won’t believe that I used to be slender then I listened to people (including an ex-boyfriend of mine) who kept on saying I have a pretty face but I’ll look better if I had more curves. & my mum was also always complaining about how I look. I listened to all these people and I’m now overweight and struggling to get back to my slim figure. So don’t mind any of them. It’s better to be healthy than to be ‘thick’.

          • @Ama, tell me why you do that me my princess if i tell you i want to got married did
you go to present me to her if that will happen i would sue you to neglect a friend
            desire to got married

      • @alix, see her legs, bankye abaa paa ni…. and GC wont stop bagging YVONNE NELSON.

I means she isn’t bad looking but the way GC and some people compliment her looks makes me think WTH.

Shes got a cutie face though but her body hmmmm ? Not what I will describe as beauty.

My opinion, no offence @ GC and the rest 🙂

    • @koby, I’m sure you realize that the standard for world beauty these days is chingilinge or slim. That’s why all models are skinny. I’m sure you saw how skinny the woman who was voted as world’s most beautiful this year (Gwyneth Paltrow) is? Go to the miss world website & you’ll realize that most of the beauties there are as slim as our Miss Ghana or even skinnier. So she stands a better chance of winning if she’s slim. It’s only the rap video girls who are thick these days. In the Western world, the slimmer you are, the more beautiful you are.

  3. Personally, my problem goes beyond this single Miss Ghana. It is a whole industry or world problem where girls have to be extremely thin to be recognised as beautiful. Africans are known for our curves and maybe that is why we do not win Miss world because we throw away what we are known for and try to be like the slim shapless whites.

The whites have once again succeeded  in defining for us what is beauty.
