Fashion has been an integral part of the Miss Ghana beauty pageant. In 2012, the new franchise owners headed by former Miss Ghana-Inna Patty introduced the Street Fashion Show.
Last Sunday the second edition of the Miss Ghana Street Fashion Show for 2013 was held at Unique Floral Gardens inside the Trade Fair Centre in Accra.
Several people including family, friends and close associates of the contestants were at the Trade Fair Centre to witness the second edition of the Fashion Show which was hosted by Choice FM’s Ato Turkson and Miss Precious Kyei Bonsu, a finalist of Miss Ghana 2012 and winner of the Miss Photogenic award.
The 20 finalists walked on the runway, showcasing designs from Delluchi Couture. Accessories for the night was from Katitorba whiles Mymiry provided the shoes. The cloth was from Akosombo Textiles Limited (ATL).
Miss Ghana 2012, Naa Okailey Shooter also strutted on the runway, after which she commented that, she was indeed impressed with what she has witnessed from this year’s finalists.
The show also featured musical performances from singer Irene Logan, old-gun-Kontihene, a budding artiste Nino and Kobi Rana.
The 2013 finalists were judged by Shika Obeng, Director of FC Skin and Beauty Clinic, Claudia Lumor, publisher of Glitz Africa Magazine, Kweku Ansah formerly Canoe Magazine, Steven Adusei of Adusei Photography and Sellasie Kwao, Miss Ghana 2001.
