Once again, The Ghana Music Awards Europe ceremony is creating massive buzz and excitements across the lengths and breaths of the UK. Ghana Music Awards – Europe is geared up to fulfil all expectations and more at the prestigious indigo2 at the O2 venue on Friday 9th August 2013.

Within its niche, The Awards will seek to Establish International Recognition for Ghanaian music, musicians, and culture. The Ghana Music Awards Europe ceremony is the biggest, glamorous, and most successful gathering of Ghanaians outside of Ghana.
Music Moguls, Film Legends, Fashion Gurus, and Football Stars, will all participate in the function’s festivities, making it truly the most glamorous Ghanaian event in Europe.

There are a total of 10 public voting categories and 3 honours award. This year’s ‘Life Time Achievement’ with an unconvincing total select committee votes, will go to an internationally acclaimed musician for his effortlessly combining the guitar hi life style of playing and unique talent.

Ghanaians in Europe especially the UK just can’t wait to experience yet another glamour and glitter show and the roster of musicians from Ghana and Europe with its fusion of classic and contemporary
acts which could be both spectacular and elegant.

A warm glow of having to see something memorable and wonderful seem to settle on the anticipated audience as the event draws closer, when asked why he established the Ghana Music Awards Europe when there is a similar ceremony held in Ghana, this is what Eric McKaiser – CEO and Founder GMA EU had to say:

Over the many years I have been in the United Kingdom, I observed that it is the magnificent medium of Ghanaian music, which is an enduring and lovable link between Ghanaians in the Diaspora and their folks back home. Right from the conception, planning and execution of this mega event, GMA13 team have left no stone unturned to make the Ghana Music Awards Europe ceremony a glamorous and historic event with panache.

Last year’s ceremony was totally sold out to over 3,000 live audience and over 800 could not get in. Last year’s performers included legends like Amakye Dede, George Darko and Charles Amoah. Tipped to perform at this year’s ceremony are, Kojo Antwi, Sarkodie, Okyeame Kwame, Fuse ODG, Efya, R2Bees and more.
