Ghana Music Awards 2013-UK

The stage is set and the auditorium at the London’s Indigo2 is blazing with Africa music. The half packed auditorium is ready to witness the commencement of the biggest and prestigious Ghanaian event on the European Entertainment calendar-Ghana Music Awards Europe 2013

Live update;

00:25; The event just started with the first act being some sort of azonto dance group doing their own thing.

The VIP area is pretty packed but the the general/normal stand seems a bit disappointing.

I met Akwasi Aboagye of Peace Fm at the VIP entrance… He flew in from Ghana with Kojo Antwi and others. I am told Nana Ama McBrown is also around…

00:43; Patrons are seated up here at the VIP area with the DJ dropping some classic hip life songs from Castra (Toffee), Sonnie Achiba and others…

01:00; National anthem being played to welcome the host of the event…Yeah it is exactly 1am and this is when the host-DJ Abrantee of Choice Fm fame has taken over the mic…

01:15; Nana Ama McBrown on stage performing R2bee’s song-Walahi and the crowd is feeling her. She had to take off her heels before even performing!
