      • @Oheneba Miyagi, leave him to carry on with his ignorance. He’s here gloating about having 20 billionaires while there are poor roads in his country, mass terrorism, & poverty abounds. At the end of the day, billionaires or no billionaires, before either Nigeria or Ghana can make their budget, their Presidents must go begging with their cap in hand so that Obama, David Cameron & China will give them small small monies. It’s like 2 children who’re always last in class, laughing at each other lol. None of our countries have made it yet so he better focus on improving his country cos those of us in Ghana are working hard to improve our own!

        • @Sandy, poverty in Nigeria is like riches in Ghana. Tell me one country in the World where non of the citizens are poor. How come we keep making it in Africa,LOL. Two cities in Nigeria (LAGOS, ABUJA)was ranked as top investors friendly cities in Africa.

There are poor people everywhere-yes. However, it is not progress when a few people in your country are rich & more than half is poor. That would be like when Mobutu of DR Congo was one of the richest men in the world but his country was poor. At the same time that Lagos & Abuja were ranked top investor friendly cities, Nigeria was ranked the worst place to be born by the Economic Intelligence Unit Report 2013. What does it mean? It means that your country is making a lot of money but it’s only going to a few people while the rest languish in poverty. Am not saying all this to paint 9ja black or pretend that Ghana is ok but i’m telling you that both Ghana & Nigeria & indeed the whole of Africa have serious problems so never deceive yourself that 9ja is ok. thanks

    • @Orina,these your billionaires are chopping all your country’s wealth that’s why according to your own national bureau of statistics, more than half of your countrymen (actual figure is 60.9%) are currently living below the poverty line. So instead of being proud of your ‘billionaires’ using their connections with your politicians to steal all your oil money & your ‘rich’ pastors who are using your tithes to buy private jets, better focus on making sure that majority of your countrymen can get 3 square meals to eat.

  3. @Sandy, all this BBC statistics about Nigeria makes us(Nigerians) laugh and sometimes surprised. How do they get that useless statistics that 60.9% Nigerians are poor. Some useless people just drop useless statistics of country they dont even live in. Or did they go round Nigeria counting the number of poor and average population in Nigeria? Lol. The same country has the highest number of population living in middle class in Africa, the same country has the highest number of billionairs in Africa. The same country has the best investors economy in Africa, the same country has the best entertainment in Africa, the same country has the highest number of future billionair i.e young millionaires in Africa according to Forbes. The same country has the highest number of rich musicians in Africa. It is just countless. They said 60.9% of Nigerians are living below $1 a day. How can people living below $1 a day survive in cities and places like portharcourt, ibadan, lagos, abuja, warri, asaba, bayelsa, kano, kaduna, jos and so on where the cost of living is so so so HIGH.
Land alone in Lagos (ikoyi ) cost up to $1million.
    GIANT OF AFRICA.
