The premiere of Ghanaian director, Shirley Frimpong-Manso’s latest movie “Potomanto” came off last night at the SilverBird cinema in Accra. Turn out for the event was HUGE (three cinemas were packed full with some people still crowding the alleys) as fans and celebrities alike flocked to the Accra mall for a little bonding time with their favorite celebrities but more importantly, to watch the much hyped movie.

The movie showcased major movie stars-Olu Jacobs, Mikki Osei-Berko, Adjetey Annang and Yvonne Okoro. Marie Humbert (The Spirited Actor fame) and Christabel Ekeh were also featured.

As expected, Shirley Frimpong Manso lived up to her name with yet another riveting and exciting plot.

The story in Potomanto is about an angry ex-police officer turned private investigator, Adane (Adjetey Annang) who is cheated on by his girlfriend (Yvonne Okoro) and makes it his mission to catch cheating women. He is hired by a wealthy Nigerian businessman, Bankole (Olu Jacobs) to spy on Susan (Marie Humbert) his young wife.

Things take a different twist however when Adane begins to uncover a series of bizarre murders of seemingly young hustlers that live in the community and they all have one thing in common. Soon the plot begins to manifest that the pursuit of greener pastures has developed into a diabolical plot of illegal organ harvesting.

What follows is a terrifying race against time where two people from the opposite sides of the law must face horrific dangers in an attempt to stop the canker that is annihilating an entire generation!

It’s another must watch thriller from Sparrow Productions that will leave you thoroughly entertained. If you haven’t seen it yet, you definitely should…
