For us to see a change, we must criticize constructively and point out the tiny things that take away the shine from many of our African movies…

The fake accents and over dramatization have been spoken about several times so let’s leave that out and look at the hidden but obvious flaws.

One thing I hate about African movies is the constant manner in which the microphones keep popping up on the screen, especially if there is a mirror at the other end. Out of laziness or can’t be bothered attitude, some Directors fail to edit or re-shoot such scenes—and we are forced to watch movies with microphones in our faces.

Another laughable but hating aspect of our African movies is our inability to tell stories without ghosts and angels. And even if we want to have ghosts and angels, why must it be like my friend pointed out above;

  1. Wha I hate is when you see people standing by watching the action filmed. Makes it so obvious that they are shooting a movie and why must they film the bystanders looking on foolishly?

  3. Forget African movies cos it is full of shit. I have stopped watching these movies because they are so stupid and ridiculous. In fact you waste your time watching them because why watch when you can predict the ending from the beginning ?

  4. Everything, why I stopped watching for long time now. It was actually when they all started talking with fake accent and replica story line of Hollywood movies. Once in a while, I’ll watch a Twi movie.

  5. what i hate the most is that they have the same story lines. Nigerians would make a movie and Ghanaians would act to same movie and change the title. soo disgusting.

  6. I hate the fact that too many crap movies are churned out very week while it takes the good ones ages to be released. Speaking of late release…Chris do you know when Sparrow will be releasing the Contract or even putting it on SparrowStation so we can see it. I really want to see it.
