Actress/TV personality-Ama Konadu Abebrese was on Peace Fm’s Entertainment Review this afternoon to talk about her ‘Love Your Skin Tone’ campaign, which she hopes to use to discourage young people from skin bleaching/toning.

The actress has mentioned that the ‘Love Your Skin Tone’ campaign is not necessary to point fingers at those who are bleaching, rather, to let people understand that we all come in different skin tones and we must love and embrace whatever we are blessed with…

Speaking on the Show, Ama K said she is being joined by Nana Ama Mcbrown, Paulina Oduro and others to champion this campaign which they will take to schools, churches and the many places of gathering in our communities.

To some people, charity begins at home and as such, Ama K. Abebrese and her campaigners should target the entertainment industry, educate, fish out, name and shame those among their friends who are bleaching/toning before heading out…

Now can we have the names of all those entertainers /celebrities bleaching to compile a list?

  1. good move Ama. The bleachers are Christo Asarfo the father of bleaching, Yvonne Nelson the mother of bleaching, Daddy Lumba and let the others continue

But why is nana ama mcbrown part of the campaign? she has also added some freshness to her skin ooo so watch careful don’t be fooled

  2. Bleahing? lol, of course Yvonne Nelson will come up as the Queen becos of the many bad publicity she has got over her skin bleaching journey. But there others bleaching. Another bleacher is Nasara who even accepts she is bleaching. I also think I will leave it for someone else to continue

    • hahahaha thank you for starting, I concluded the rest down there.. Yvonne should just admit so we find her some remedy to wipe that nasty whitening off. wtf she annoys me with her daily lies.

  3. I like when the guy doing the interview ask, why they are not starting from the entertainment industry!! That is where they should start attacking, because these are the people the young look up to! How can you tell the youngsters to stop bleaching when all they see are light-skin girls all over in movies on TV and even in music videos?!?!

    • I think Ama’s issue is that she is scared. I listened to the program and one of the people on the show even said so. She is scared to go about attacking her colleagues because that place is where she has to start from. But do you blame her? Can she go and tell someone like YN or Daddy Lumba that they are bleaching? They will probably shallow her alive

  4. First of all whole campaign is wrong why is AMA k not looking happy, why does her hands looks like she has bleached, the whole layout of the flyer is so poorly done but get most of you don’t even see it and start insulting others that are bleaching,

Is there skin and they can  whatsoever they want with it, even you guys are starting to sound too
racist and taking this whole bleaching issue way to far

And why has I taken someone that long to start such a campaign

Before you judge take a good look at campaign flyer and tell me you don’t see anything wrong with it and as for you Tiffanybabe I can bet all my money and savings,…. That that’s not your real colour and don’t tell me it’s flash either cause you look like a carrot yourself

    • What is wrong with this campaign? Are you also bleaching or what? You are finding petty things wrong with the campaign and ignoring the big thing which is the effect of these actions on young people and the future generating

You think bleaching is a small thing huh? Maybe your mother or someone is bleaching and that is why you won’t support such a wonderful cause

  5. As i stated on the previous campaign article,   Yvonne nelson remains the outstanding mother of bleaching, Yvonne is about time u go back to your old shea butter and leave these expensive creams alone like makari. Am sure this campaign was purposely held for Yvonne, Kristo Asafo,  Lumba, Mercy Asiedu, Pascaline Edwards, salma, Nasara, nana acheampong, Bishop obinim, asamoah gyan, Luckie Lawson, Sandra Ankobiah and  rest. Ama K well done for raising this topic up. GC will always support your work. Yvonne’s own is too obvious to ignore, am sure she’s seeing this Ama You are a darling.

    • How did I forget about Bishop Obinim and Asamoah Gyan. But is Mercy Asiedu and Pascaline Edwards also bleaching? For Asamoah Gyan I thought he has stopped now and for Sandra I am not shocked

      • With pascaline, Look for Christ in me movie and you will see things for yourself, the bleaching syndrome called n3nsuob3n. She started bleaching since 2001. Asamoah is still bleaching. Mercy Asiedu has recently become lighter than before.

  6. I just listened to her audio omg, Kudos to Ama. No wonder she remains in Chris’s Vincent good books. For Chris to hate you shows you a dumb ass and for him to like you show’s you leading the right directions. I believe this campaign will help prevent skin disease in our society. Also skin bleachers stinks real bad which can easily drive a guy off a lady. Nana ama mcbrown has always been fair shes not into creams so those of you pointing fingers should stop and support their campaigns.

  7. Bleaching is becoming too common in Ghana now. Ladies and gents is about time you respect your God giving skin and stop using creams. I respect Ama for not mentioning any names but we all know those who are into the game. Great campaign

  8. Ama K, are you jobless? Please come and answer me. First of all, I agree with Miyagi why are you looking so mobo mobo? People are bleaching so you want to cry? Even the model on my alata samina is smiling and shining in her dark skin.
also i want to know why you are making peoples business your business? Who are you to tell people what to do with their skin? For your information, it isn’t only black women who bleach. But it’s black women who like to worry each other. Turning this whole skin issue into some annoying crusade. Meanwhile, why the fuck are you using a bleaching mama Mcbrown to campaign against bleaching? Who will take you seriously? Please fire nana ama mcbrown from that campaign. Then after, go to Juliet Ibrahim, joselyn dumas, Nadia buari, even Jackie appiah has bleached a little. Just small bi.
this list is endless. And your campaign is a joke.
