Over the years, we’ve seen significant improvements in both our Ghanaian movie industry and the music industry—though we are still on the hope road for that day when we can look at things and say, we’ve truly arrived.

Few years ago, the movie industry had diverse stories to tell but the actors, directors and even equipment to be used in telling these stories were a MESS, and that gave us different faces of sub-standard productions. Even today, we still have such sub-standard productions, but things are a fairly better than those years I am talking about.

Similarly, the Ghana music industry has its own dark days with poor music videos and sound quality being the hallmark of that era. Ironically, we seem to have had some good songs (I mean lyrically) during these dark days when we did not have up-to-date studios, sound engineers and production equipment.

Fast forwarding things from these days to what we have now, it is obvious that both industries have come far, embracing improvements and growth alongside their journeys. Various individuals have jumped into the industry, filling different layers of the sphere in a bid to make things better.

The question is; which of these two industries are you really proud of—-and why? Why of the two industries do you think have seen an amazing growth and why?
