Who Killed Fennec Okyere: Bull Dog’s Case Adjourned to June 30 as Prosecutors Beg Court for More Time

So if the Human Rights Court did not rule that the continuous holding of Bull Dog (real name Lawrence Nana Asiama Hanson) in Police custody was a clear violation of his Human Rights and goes against the traditional notion of substantial justice, he would have been remanded in jail again today as the prosecutors beg for more time…huh?

When BullDog who has been charged with the murder of Fennec Okyere and conspiracy to murder appeared at the Accra Magistrate Court today, the prosecutors begged the Court for more time to be able to carry on with investigation—a request the Court granted, adjourning the case to June, 30.

It is such actions of the prosecuting body that have led people to ask, what was the point in arresting and detaining Bull Dog if they did not have enough evidence to present in Court, in relation to the charges levelled against him…

It looks like; we should embrace ourselves for a long ride of ‘judicial up and down’ as the prosecutors seem to be not fully prepared for the commencement of trial…

Slapping someone with Murder and Conspiracy to Murder with a possible life imprisonment is not a joke, it must be proven beyond reasonable doubt that indeed the person committed the alleged crime…

With how the prosecutors have started, it surely looks like we will soon have the charges dropped!

  1. I said it before and I will say it again. The police handling this particular case are lazy. You can’t charge someone with conspiracy to murder without any evidence. The threats alone is not enough to get a conviction.

    • talk of laziness, the police in charge of this case may be sitting comfortably somewhere enjoying a big bowl of fufu instead of being out there in the field looking for evidence.

      • Lol…. B.B, you are not far from the truth. The truth of the matter is that, the police lack proper training. Their ineffectiveness is also due to lack of fund’s. Here in the U.S the state normally pays for such investigations But unfortunately, that is not the case in Ghana. The government of Ghana does nothing to support the police apart from their monthly paycheck.

  2. It saddens my heart that with all the technology available to mankind today, our law enforcement are still lagging behind. This case would have been a done deal if it happened in the developed world. By the way, was the deceased stabbed or shot? If he was stabbed, there is a good chance that the attacker may have some minor cuts. His blood sample would be taken for DNA analysis.

  3. If I was part of the investigation team, I will make few suggestions. (1) All the deceased friends will be questioned. (2) his estranged wife will be investigated. (3) Bulldog will be thoroughly investigated. (4) I will make sure we check phone records of everyone involved. (5) Bank accounts will be checked. (6) The deceased clothes will be taken to the forensic lab for analysis. (7) I will obtain a search warrant and search everyone’s apartment for clues. What I’ll be looking out for is bloody clothes or the weapon used in the crime. (8) all the people questioned will have their fingerprints taken and, they must all have solid alibi at the time of the crime. Above all, I will hunt for the murder weapon. Finding the murder weapon is one step closer to solving the case. I wish them good luck!!

  4. Ghana police and law in Ghana do not work. Nothing in fact seem to work properly in Ghana. We can’t even have electricity and we can investigate a complex murder? If you get beaten or killed in Ghana, you have died a foolish death because the police will waste time like they are doing and end up catching the WIND

  5. Ghana police/investigators have to watch a lot of CSI, how much evidence did they gather at the crime scene? Also i wonder if the investigators have the most modern equipment and unlimited resources to examine the evidence they have against him? IMO i believe he hired someone to murder him but the police investigators need to do their job well else he will never be prosecuted for this heinous crime

  6. This guy could be 100% guilty but then why wait till 30 days after the murder to prosecute him? Ghana police are too dry for my liking all they think of is bribe and food.. Don’t blame them if they were paid fairly enough with modernized equipment this crime case would have been closed long ago. He should be traced with thoroughly search. Fennec’s innocent blood will help find his killers.soon. May he RIP

    • Bernice, sorry but I have to disagree with you on this one. Look, just because he threatened the deceased prior to his demise does not necessarily mean that he committed the crime. According to sources, Bulldog went on air and threatened to kill him, do you think he can threatened to kill him on air and go through with it? Only a dummy will do that. As I said before, every one is a suspect in this case, including his wife. She was the one that discovered his body or am I lying? To the best of my knowledge, most criminals are usually one of the first people to discover the body. And the reason why they do that is that, they want to divert the suspicion away from themselves. Guess what? it actually works. It always throws the police off from the actual person responsible for the crime. And they will be looking at the wrong places. In fact, the behavior of Fennec’s wife after his death raised so many red flags but it looks like I’m the only one that saw it. I am not suggesting that she personally killed him, it could be a hit job. Bulldog may be the perpetrator too I’m not counting him out. Even the deceased friends cannot be left out. At this point, I am so anxious to know what evidence the police was able to find at the crime scene.
