The theories since Castro disappeared keep coming in thick and fast, and before you are able to digest one you are hit with another. This time its musician Akoo Nana coming out with his theory, and this one comes from an angle you would never have guessed.
Akoo Nana claims his friend Castro has been kidnapped, possibly for ritual purposes. He believes after the kidnapping went down, the kidnappers realised who they had captured, and realised that there was no way they could kill someone of Castro’s calibre.
He told myjoyonline.com that “I think he’s been kidnapped, not spiritually kidnapped but physically kidnapped…they kidnap people for rituals, I think they kidnapped them and later realised it was Castro [and] by then they have him in their custody”
Akoo Nana, who released a song earlier this year with Castro titled ‘Mi Yadawo’, speculated that the kidnappers probably needed people for rituals because a chief or a fetish priest might have died in a nearby village. It was customary in some tribes in Ghana for ritual human sacrifices to accompany the death of such prominent personalities, though it is difficult to tell if the practice still goes on.
Akoo Nana however believes that was the reason behind Castro’s disappearance.
“Maybe one of these chiefs died in a nearby village and they needed some heads to escort this chief and they kidnapped them and later realised that it is Castro and they can’t touch him”
He disclosed he was supposed to have been with Castro on that Sunday, but other engagements kept him away.
This is certainly an interesting turn of events, and a tangent I did not see coming. For all the stories that have been floating since Castro’s disappearance, this is the first anyone’s hearing that there might have been other (physical) people involved. And since Akoo Nana could not make it to Ada that Sunday, it is certainly interesting that he’s coming out with this theory over a week after the disappearance of his friend.
Maybe the Police might like to talk to him, develop some clues from his vast bank of knowledge on ritual kidnappings in the Ada area. I don’t know, I might believe a marine spirit has come for Castro before I believe this theory, but you never know.
Anyway, Akoo Nana does not believe either Castro or Janet Bandu is dead, and according to him they would surely come back to us before long, safe and sound.

There is an article circulating around purported to come from Ghana Police which stated that, Castro is alive in TOGO. And he’s currently receiving treatment at the hospital. Hmmmm! If Castro’s body is not found soon, another fake spiritualist will come out and claim Castro is actually in his custody. By the way, I don’t believe this kidnapping theory one bit. How can Castro who is riding on a fast moving jet ski got kidnapped by people probably riding on a boat? These people should just shut up and hope that his body will be washed ashore.
The only tribe that i know that sacrifice human parts are Volta and the Northern region of Ghana. I did my national service there after Knust so witnessed so much in the Volta. Am not surprised because the river Volta is widely connected to their land. Ghana police should look through all their towns.

Look let me tell you something, cannibalism has never occurred anywhere in Ghana, whether in the past or present. There is no historical account of any tribe in Ghana being cannibalized. Although I’m aware that cannibalism was prevalent in other West African countries, especially Nigeria- Even among the Nigerian’s it was only the Igbo’s that were said to be cannibals. And according to historians the cannibalism came about due to widespread of hunger and starvation during that time. In Ghanaian history no tribe has ever involved in cannibalism, however, human sacrifice and JUJU was a norm among certain tribes. I will always speak the truth without fear or favor.
