If it was not shocking enough that after a man knocks the hell out of a woman to the extent that she falls flat on her face unconsciously, this woman proceeds to marry the man, then something must be wrong with the head of this same woman—to come out to say the media has ruined the life of her family after her husband has been suspended indefinitely by the NFL for aggravated violence against her.

Yesterday, a new long video of NFL player-Ray Rice knocking her wife-Janay Rice (then fiancee) down in an elevator was published by TMZ Sports and the world was shocked—with many wondering why a man will do this to a woman he claims to love. More so, why a woman would proceed to marry such a man even after this violence…

Everyone has condemned Ray Rice’s actions and even President Barrack Obama has come out to say, “Real men don’t hit women”. The NFL has suspended Ray Rice indefinitely and Baltimore Ravens has terminated his contract.

But this morning, Ray Rice’s wife- Janay Rice—the woman who was knocked down in the elevator has taken to her Instagram page to say, the media has caused her pains by bringing her ordeal to light which has fetched her husband a well deserving punishment.

Janay Rice defended Ray Rice and blamed the media in her post by writing; “I woke up this morning feeling like I had a horrible nightmare, feeling like I’m mourning the death of my closest friend. But to have to accept the fact that it’s reality is a nightmare in itself.”
She continued, “No one knows the pain that the media & unwanted options from the public has caused my family. To make us relive a moment in our lives that we regret every day is a horrible thing. To take something away from the man I love that he has worked his ass of for all his life just to gain ratings is horrific.”

Rice ended the post by saying, “THIS IS OUR LIFE! What don’t you all get. If your intentions were to hurt us, embarrass us, make us feel alone, take all happiness away, you’ve succeeded on so many levels. Just know we will continue to grow & show the world what real love is! Ravensnation we love you!”

Why on earth should a woman who has been treated this way by a man come out to write this? Probably, she cares more about the money than her life…

This makes me feel SICK!

  1. GC staff, this a very cynical attitude to take on such a serious matter. To insinuate that the only reason she stayed is because of money says a lot about what you think of women. Have you considered that after this fight they went on to get married? Or in your bizarro neck of the woods there is no such thing as reconciliation and forgiveness? I am even disappointed that you chose the way of TMZ(the pull them down faux entertainment news) to buttress your view. TMZ is a parasitic organ that feeds of the stars all the while attempting to pull them down for kicks. Now that they’ve succeeded in destroying the guy’s means of supporting his family, they will go and high five each other ignoring the fact that they’ve just destroyed a young man and woman life. There is such a thing as the tyranny of the media. We just experienced one amongst the many. These sensationalist media doesn’t care that the people they cover bleed, cry and feel pain. Don’t become one of them.

  3. I always fight the urge to comment on any issue this blogger writes not because he is not Good, but he doesnt mediate or screen the comments before they are posted. This gives readers the power to insult people who just wanna share thier oppinions. Decerning readers are worried Chris. I wish you would do something about this situation so we can all have a healthy debate in the future.
