According to multiple media reports, Ghana Black Stars’ coach-Kwesi Appiah who has had more than a rough time, let’s say he has performed very poor than anyone expected, has been silently sacked—and tomorrow, this will be made official.

Kwesi Appiah is tipped to be replaced by Serb Milovan Rajevac who flew into the country few days ago to take the post of a Technical advisor.

Apparently, Akwesi Appiah’s popularity among the Executive Committee members of the Ghana Football Association has dropped to zero—and the poor performance of the Black Stars in the last two matches seem to be how far the GFA is ready to risk things with Appiah.

Beside this, the public has little or no confidence in Kwesi Appiah, coupled with the way he has lost touch with the players and the on-going internal tension, exist seems to be the only reasonable way to go.

If indeed this is confirmed tomorrow as speculated, that will be the end of Kwesi Appiah’s two years affair with the Ghana National team, 24 months of disaster and poor performance from the Black Stars led by Kwesi Appiah…

  1. What happened in Brazil was more of administrative lapses than AA competence but yeah it’s his own fault. Well, Milo is nutritious than Agya Appiah Bitters. As for GFA dieeee: sɛ wo kurom pɛtɛ di wo nam a, ebi ka.

  2. Why did the FA have to play all these games? They knew all along that they wanted to get AA out, and replace him with Milo, but they threw dust into the gullible Ghanaians’ eyes, by telling us they were hiring him as technical director. When are we Ghanaians going to force people in authority to do the right things befitting a civilized people living in the 21st century, and not some backward morons in the middle ages?

  3. It is long over due. He should have been axed after the Black Stars poor performance at the world cup. But I’m surprised that the GFA is lobbying for the serbian to reclaim his job back. What an insult to Ghanaians. Is he not the same person that shamelessly ditched Ghana for the highest bidder? Why is he still being pampered by the GFA committee? Sacking AA is a good news but going in for Milovan is not an option. Shame on GFA!!
