We’ve heard a lot of crap being said about Nigeria and why the country is not a place to visit—leading in corruption as police officers and others will be on your neck all to the time. Also, the filth and the aggresive nature of Nigerian beggers have been a bad experience for many who have visted the country.
Even though our Ghanaain sister-Omo Ghana who is based in Nigeria has in series of articles said Nigeria (Lagos) is not that bad as others paint it, a Yahoo travel writer who has experienced 193 countries has come to say, Nigeria is the worst amongst all the countries he has visited.
After having visited all the 193 member UN countries, he had this to say about Nigeria…
“As far as I am concerned, Lagos, Nigeria, is the worst place on planet Earth. I’ve never experienced so much corruption in my life. It was just a horrific experience getting into the country. Crossing in from Benin, we got shaken down by the border guards. In addition to the multiple police shakedowns, the multiple ATM issues were enough for me; three times in two days, the machines dispensed the wrong amount of money. It was oppressive and hot. I couldn’t tell you one good thing about that place.”

Yahoo’s travel writer was just sad cos unlike other African countries he visited, Nigerians just did not give a fvck about him/her. The ATM story was a big dirty lie…ATM machines are programmed like any other mechanical devise, why would it suddenly decide to dispense wrong amount of cash? It’s a dirty lie. The writer is probably one of those western writers that just could not come to terms with the fact that Nigeria defeated EBOLA without any major international help. This is Africa’s largest economy, is that the best picture he could come up with? A slum in Makoko. really?
And what about the photo too? That is a lie. He photoshopped it to make it looky dirty as it is? The problem with Nigerians is they don;t accept their mess. I recall a friend visiting from Nigeria here for the first time and he was really disappointed. He couldn’t believe how unclean some parts were. That’s just how it is. He chose to focus on the negative. Yes 9ija has its bad points but its just strange how that’s all he could come up with. Actually it’s not strange I think I agree with alot of the comments that it’s likely he was not given any ass kissing treatment and he got mad lol. East or West home is ALWAYS the best….always.
