Few days ago, a certain Ghanaian woman was arrested at London Heathrow, on-board a British Airways flight from Kotoka and despite the political controversy surrounding her arrest—what is certain this, a woman with multiple Ghanaian identities has been arrested.

Whether she is an NDC whatever, or NPP whatever is irrelevant to us here at GhanaCelebrities.Com because the large criminal consequence of drugs has no political affiliations…

According to The Herald Newspaper, the lady “has several names, including Nayele Ametefe, but her real name according to her childhood friends is Ruby Appiah.

She is also known to some people as Ruby Adu-Gyamfi, but commonly referred to as “Angel” as a nickname”.

The Newspaper adds that “Ruby Appiah alias Ruby Adu-Gyamfi alias Nayele Ametefe appears to have been in the illegal drug business for many years now, with close associates telling The Herald she once had problem in Amsterdam in the Netherlands bearing the name Ruby Appiah. Her father is said to be resident in Amsterdam.”

It has also emerged that this same drug trafficker operates an electrical shop at Dzorwulu in Accra called Night Angels- adjacent Relax Court Hotel and top of the UBA Bank, where she sells electric bulbs and chandeliers; a decorative ceiling-mounted light fixture.

Obviously, this bulb shop seems to be a cover job for her drug trafficking business…

On the arrest at Heathrow, The DailyGuide reported that; “the Ghanaian lady, Nayele Ametefeh, also known as Ruby Adu-Gyamfi, who was busted for carrying 12 kilograms of cocaine worth £3.5 million ($5 million) at the London Heathrow Airport in the United Kingdom.

Nayele Ametefeh, who was said to be in possession of three passports including a Ghanaian diplomatic passport and an Austrian passport, has been charged with drug smuggling after Border Force officers at Heathrow’s Terminal 5 seized 12 kg of grade A cocaine from her”.
