A distance relative of Kwaw Kese, who visited the said artist who is currently in police custody, has confessed that Kwaw has regretted what he did that took him to cells and promises never to repeat same act.
Emmanuel Botchwey popularly known in Ghana’s showbiz circles as Kwaw Kese or Abodam was arrested around 1:30am, Saturday at a wine shop close to plus Two Pub at Nhyiaseo, a suburb of Kumasi, publicly smoking cannabis.
The self-styled King of the Streets was put before court and formally charged with using narcotic drug without lawful authority.
The latest on the case is that the man believed to be headstrong and mulish, has turned himself into an elder suspect man and an opinion leader in cell – advising inmates never to repeat whatever took them there. Not only is he advising others, but himself – said “I will never repeat what I did that brought me here. This is my first time and I promise not to repeat it.”
This revelation was made by veteran radio presenter Kofi De Acquah of Luv FM in Kumasi who claimed that he has a distance relationship with Kwaw – in an interview with Kwasi Aboagye of Entertainment Ghana on Tuesday 25th Nov, 2014.

The case was heard by the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) Circuit Court on Monday, 24th Nov, 2014. The court, presided over by Judge William Boampong remanded him to reappear on December 8 after persecutors argued that they were still investigating the matter.
Meanwhile a group calling themselves ‘Ghetto boys’ in Agona Swedru, where the Rapper hails from, has described the detention of the ‘King of the Streets’ as unjust and have threatened to hit the street if nothing is done about it.
If you say a prayer, say one for Kwaw Kese because the case seems to be more serious than what we are reading and hearing. Until then….MOTWUM!!
