So The FANATICS Are Still Preaching FreeKwawKese? | Read What Actor Jackie Chan Told His Biological Son When He Was Caught With Weed

The more I listen or read on those who are still championing the FreeKwawKese campaign, the less sympathy I feel for Kwaw Kese, and the higher I wish the court does not temper justice with mercy – but rather, stretch and apply the full dimension of the law on his case.

Yes, I am a fan of Kwaw. I enjoy his songs and performances, but I won’t allow that to besot me to start insulting the integrity of the judge on the case, water down our judiciary system, and create the impression that the court is unlawfully manhandling Kwaw Kese – as most of those who are championing the FreeKwawKese movement are still doing!

Knowing the possible harm this FreeKwawKese camping could have on the ongoing case, management of Kwaw released a statement in which they appreciated fans of Kwaw for showing support but also, monished those proponents to stop their advocacy.

“We are therefore calling on all parties to desist from making further statements and embarking on campaigns such as FreeKwawKese et al in a bid to support Kwaw Kesse. On the contrary, these activities along with the heightened media coverage only go to worsen the plight of Kwaw” the press release cautioned.

Meanwhile, mother of Kwaw has even come public to state that she has in the past heard that her son engages in weed smoking but can only wish him well in this trial; yet, some zany musicians are still championing the FreeKwawKese campaign as though they love him more than his own mother.

Read what evergreen reggae artist, Black Prophet, recently posted, saying Ghana government and police must: “Freekwawkesse! Locking him up for smoking ganja? Please look for the killer of his manager, Chinese killing villagers for our gold, our oil, rights, passports and school documents has no value in the west, let build more free schools, protect Ghana and Africa from foreign interference, etc for a Better Ghana and Africa. Blessings.”

Those of us who are not championing this jejune FreeKwawKese are being tagged or described as sadists or enemies of Kwaw – it does not move me at all! If I have a wish, it’s simple – the exhibits should under some mysterious circumstances, get lost just as some bags of cocaine once got lost some years back in a cocaine trying case, so that there will be no case to trial after all.

To go about saying the law should be compromised – free Kwaw, simply because he is a star is a silly project I won’t waste my breath, effort or time on. We have to be consistent with principles and logic in life and in whichever society we live as human beings!

Jaycee Chan, 32, a singer and actor, is the son of movie legend Jackie Chan. Jaycee was arrested earlier this year in Beijing after testing positive to Marijuana. Cops found about 3.5 ounces of the ‘special grasses’ in Jaycee’s Beijing home. Police further disclosed that they found 100 grams of the drug at Jaycee’s home.

Currently, Jaycee is still facing trial for drug-related offences in China. Reacting to his son’s conduct, Jackie Chan publicly labeled his son’s act as embarrassing and blasted him. Read an excerpt of a press release authored by Jackie Chan:

“I hope our younger generation will learn from Jaycee’s mistake and stay far away from drug abuse. I would like to take this opportunity and say to Jaycee: you’ve done something wrong and you have to be responsible for the consequences.”

Chan continued: “I’m your dad and I’ll always be with you. We will face the road ahead of us together. I should also take some of this responsibility because as his dad, I didn’t teach him well. Therefore, on behalf of Jaycee and myself, I extend our deepest apologies to everyone for the negative impact this has caused on society. Thank you.”

So does it mean Jackie Chan hates his son? So he is a wicked father for opining the above? Or God should punish him for chastising his own son? I guess if Jackie Chan is the father of Kwaw Kese and had released such a press statement the FreeKwawKese campaigners SHALL roast him and subsequently feed him to vultures!

Unlike Ghana that our narcotic law gives a minimum of 10 years jail sentence after having been found guilty – a sentence Kwaw risks being slapped with, in China, drug related crimes carry severe punishments – including death sentence and life imprisonment.

I wish Kwaw well and hope some mysterious circumstances, thwart this case to set him free. Until then….MOTWUM!!
